HTC ChaCha
Billed as a Facebook phone, the HTC ChaCha sambas onto the scene with a blue Facebook button that's ready to waltz you directly to the land of social networking. However, we've previously never found these messaging handsets to fit all that well with the Android OS, so has the ChaCha managed to spin...
Pros:
- Stylish design
- Excellent keyboard
- Crisp screen
- Good Facebook integration
Cons:
- So-so battery life
- Landscape screen can feel cramped
- No Flash support

It's rare that a device comes along that I am really interested in buying and the HTC ChaCha is one such device. HTC have set the benchmark for the front facing keyboard, Android phone and it will be a tough job for any other company to best the ChaCha.

HTC ChaCha review
Kodak as we all know, have been around for a very long time, providing great affordable digital cameras to the masses, but they haven't often ventured into the what I would call ‘Beginner photographer' market.

HTC ChaCha Review
You won't find a better phone for social networking but the smaller screen is a bit of a letdown.
Pros:
- Facebook fans have plenty to please them
- with one-touch access for adding music
- photos
- updates
- videos and webpages
Cons:
- Because so much is happening behind the scenes
- the ChaCha had to be charged pretty regularly

HTC ChaCha
A good keyboard, but the Facebook button of dubious value and the screen is too cramped to be practical

So it's a pretty mixed bag. While good in some departments, the ChaCha disappoints in as many others. But all these positives and negatives are are nothing next to the small screen and awkward UI customisations.

HTC ChaCha
The world's first Facebook phone has got its work cut out: HTC is hoping that it will attract younger customers to the brand and help it shed its geeky image.
Pros:
- Facebook button is genuinely useful
- Full size keyboard is easy to use
- HTC Sense is as handy as ever
- Form factor makes typing easy
- Good quality finish
Cons:
- Interaction with Facebook could be taken much further
- Battery life totally unacceptable given the target audience
- Poor quality photos
- Screen is small with unsatisfactory display quality
- Audio quality could be improved

When we first heard of HTC's Facebook phones, we had our doubts on how a mobile device will integrate with Facebook. To be frank, we are quite impressed with the innovative idea of a dedicated Facebook button. It is definitely more than just a marketing gimmick, it is practical.

With an 800MHz processor, the HTC ChaCha is a fast, capable and comfortable handset. It's not the most stylish, but it's affordable and is packed with features – including a 5-megapixel camera, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi.
Pros:
- As always, the Android operating system is a particular highlight on this handset
- Sure, it's not quite as slick as the iOS software found on Apple's iPhone, but it's a lot more customisable, with the ability to fill the homepage with comprehensive apps such as calendar entries or messages, The...
Cons:
- In a world of smartphones with huge touchscreens
- the HTC ChaCha may offer a welcome change when it comes to usability
- but the design looks positively frumpy when compared with handsets like the iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S II

HTC ChaCha review: Status update
Standing out in the ever growing crowd of droids is a tall task indeed. Doing so while keeping the whole thing affordable, is next to impossible. HTC – of all makers – somehow managed to achieve it, vastly improving the market prospects of...
