A good machine that I needed ASAP. Of course not enough memory, I added more to 32. The screen is not very good. I hook up to a second monitor so it is OK. It is quick. the extra memory helps. I gave it 4 stars due to the screen not very good.

Very pleased with HP ProBook 470GS

Nearly perfect out-of-the box compatibility. I'd recommend switching off the Nvidia GPU in the BIOS. Other than that, large screen, powerful CPU. Great laptop!

This is the fastest laptop I've ever owned! With the M.2 SSD as the main OS drive, and swap the spinning HDD for a SATA SSD for file storage, whaaaa. Totally extends the bettery, and is SMOOOKIN fast. What a pleasure to use! Sorry, I'll calm down now.

I immediately swapped out the 2.5" for a Samsung 500GB EVO; Two captive screws got the bottom plates off, then cake to get the drive out; The specs fail to mention there's also a m.2 nvme 2280 slot as well; Would have gone that route if I had known; Still fast enough for my client though

Advertise there's a nvme slot in there as well! You'll need to snag a screw from the HD cage though to mount it; C'mon buddy..

I ordered this machine online based on the specifications. The Online helper was excellent in finding me a machine that has everything I requested. Overall the machine is fine, fast and quiet. Two unexpected issues surfaced when I actually received the machine. First, I hate the keyboard.

Good part is that we use Linux, and everything is supported by openSUSE. The only downside to this laptop is that the touchpad is huge and I couldn't find any good GNOME settings to prevent it from being annoying so I wrote a script that set hotkeys to turn it on and off.
