HP Omen 15 - Voodoo Magic

Pros: Runs new games pretty well, Great trackpad and keyboard, Lovely screen
Cons: Expensive, Short battery life, Back ports can be a little inconvenient
Verdict: Traditionally, omens come in one of two varieties: good or bad. Considering the beefy specifications HP has outfitted the Omen 15 with, I'm inclined to believe it's one of the former.

HP OMEN 15-5010nr Gaming Notebook with Beats Audio

Verdict: You can't really customize your components with this budget gaming laptop, but there are a few different options available in it depending on where you buy this system from. It always comes with an Intel i7 quad-core processor, 15-inch display, and has 8GB of DDR3 memory, though it can handle up to...

HP Omen 15-1502na

Pros: Slim and lightweight design, Generous 16GB memory, Good performance
Cons: No support for 802.11ac or Gigabit Ethernet, Trackpad poor for gaming, Processor heats to worrying temperatures, Poor battery life
Verdict: The HP Omen has a specification and price that marks it out as a gaming laptop, but it's a different beast than most of its rivals. Its body is finished in black, incorporating the kind of smart pattern we'd normally associate with a high-class Ultrabook, and it's augmented by red LEDs and a...

Best screen, unbeatable design, great graphics capabilities for the price.

Pros: Design, screen, and graphics
Cons: Keyboard shortcuts on left aren't necessary
Verdict: One of the few gaming laptops with a glossy screen, that alone made it one of my top choices - gaming laptops aren't meant to be brought outside, so I choose glossy screens everytime just because the colors are so much better.

Pros: Sleek design, Dedicated macro keys, Customizable LED backlighting, Extra-wide touch pad
Cons: Rear-mounted ports are inconvenient, Ethernet uses USB adapter dongle, No GPU upgrade option
Verdict: The Omen 15 is a worthy gaming laptop that draws upon HP's Voodoo acquisition from forever ago. It's a sleek machine that'll play the latest games at 1080p at or near their top settings.

HP Omen 15

Pros: Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M graphics. PCI-connected storage offers faster performance than SATA-based competition. Touch screen. Programmable macro buttons, extra-wide touchpad, and customizable keyboard backlighting
Cons: Rear-mounted ports are inconvenient. Ethernet requires adapter dongle
Verdict: The HP Omen 15 is a surprisingly potent gaming machine with features you might not expect from a mainstream PC manufacturer including customizable backlighting and revved-up storage.

Too flawed for the price

Verdict: I bought the speced up version of this with 512 GB solid state drive and the Nvidia 960. Personally I find this too flawed for the amount I have had to pay (£1500). The pros are the ones advertised, it's an incredibly beautiful piece of technology, sleek stylish and light.

Even though description is the 2014 model I received the 2015 model.

Verdict: I did a lot of research and decided for some gaming and business this was a good balance between price and performance. If you want a really high end gaming laptop with the latest gpu then you will be spending a thousand or two more depending on how high end you go and then you will have a really...

Verdict: I have now owned the HP OMEN for a few months. I have had no problems with any feature of this computer. I enjoy the versatility of the Omen as I perform many tasks ranging from emails, shopping etc to streaming videos and playing games. The Omen has good graphics and I can run games at 40-65 fps.

Awesome machine

Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Fast, Portable, Powerful
Cons: Port Location
Verdict: I use this product for gaming, web surfing, light programming, e-mail, and RAW photo processing. Overall this laptop is awesome. The screen is excellent. The nVidia 860M chipset rips through the games I like to play no sweat.

HP is back in the game

Pros: 4700hq touch screen Ssd drive for fast boot time and access times less than 5 lbs good cooling solution basically I got this laptop for school and for a few games on the side. Has the processing power for all my school work no problem. Decent battery life all though not the best.
Cons: Graphics aren't the best ever. If I wanted more power though I would have opted for a desktop replacement style gaming laptop
Verdict: Overall this is a great laptop for someone who wants a laptop that can actually be used in your lap but can still game. If you want to play games on ultra on a laptop though invest in a laptop with a better card.
