We have a small office set up and I was initially planning on buying a personal printer. My friend suggested me to go for this, just in case there is a need to perform some heavy duty work. It is perfect for my requirement.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus is synonymous with being a great printer if you are looking for small micro printer for home or office use. As in comparison to its Pro 8500A Plus, the HP Office jet printer has gotten a performance upgrade from inside out, which has increased the speed of its print engine...
It offers maximum horizontal to vertical resolution as 4800×1200 dpi; Colour print speed is 35ppm; Offers envelop and banner inputs along with transparency printing capacity; Has both automatic and manual feed capacity; Works on multiple Operating systems like Microsoft Windows 2000; XP...
Touch Screen requires efforts to operate and it cannot be calibrated in any way for better sensitivity; Bigger in size than most of the other printers; Graphic quality delivered is below standard
I have a home office and run a small business and thought this all in one would be just right but it takes time for the cartridges to calibrate each time you print then you have to wait for the fist page and then the 2nd page and so forth.
I have purchased three HP 8600 Pro Plus and/or Premium computers in the last six months. Two of them never worked out of the box and had to be replaced by HP.
This was after spending about two hours each with Tech Support convincing them that the printers were indeed plugged in, turned...
Compact Design; Easy To Use; Fast Print Time
Hard Setup; Poor quality control
By the way, with this printer you're not supposed to print much - it's okay to print 15 pages a day, which is acceptable for a single workplace, but after we connected it with 10 computers, we ran out of ink in less than a week.
printer set up in less than 30 minutes. printed test page and turned off. At the first use the printer powered up with printer failure notice. Called HP tech support and worked through problem. They sent new print head but it took 11 days, not good, but it resolved the problem. Tech support was OK.
Easy To Set Up; Easy To Use; Fast Print Time
Unreliable
Needless to say we are looking into other printers and definitely NOT HP. To their credit they replaced them as they failed, but 4 for 4 ! We stopped the loss there when they offered to send the 5th printer out.
If it worked; it would be a GREAT printer..
Very disappointed; After 4 different printers in 2 weeks (each one lasted less than 3 days before problems arose), we have given up on HP for our business; We quit buying HP printers a few years ago because of quality problems.
Best all-in-one printer I've ever owned. It is NOT an ink hog. We've had this printer a couple of years and I would buy this one again and again. I like it so much (and had gone through several prior to this purchase) that I just thought it would help other shoppers to know this has been a good one.
I give it one star because this is the 3rd officejet pro I have purchased. (R-40, 8500, 8600). I love the machines in themselves but each one is a great dissapointment in the area of scanning. Document scanning is my main use. If you make the settings low the scans are unusable.
