Product arrived quickly, took minutes to set up through a wireless connection on the first computer using the screen directions from the printer. The second connection is a challenge, maybe because it is set up through an administrator on the computer then loged into as a user.

I just bought The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. I received it in the mail yesterday and only until today did I finally get the Airprint feature to work on it. When I opened the box and got the printer set up everything worked great.
Highly recommended, especially considering the cost.
Needless to say we are looking into other printers and definitely NOT HP. To their credit they replaced them as they failed, but 4 for 4 ! We stopped the loss there when they offered to send the 5th printer out.
If it worked; it would be a GREAT printer..
Very disappointed; After 4 different printers in 2 weeks (each one lasted less than 3 days before problems arose), we have given up on HP for our business; We quit buying HP printers a few years ago because of quality problems.
This device will not even after several phone calls to HP BT & on support web-sites print wirelessly - Apple should be embarrassed to have it on their web-site - complete waste of time and effort not to mention money.
I have utilized these for scanning and printing in a networked office environment connecting via RDP to centralized servers for both production and document imaging. These things have been great. Very trouble free, reliable and both printed and scanned images come out as expected.
By the way, with this printer you're not supposed to print much - it's okay to print 15 pages a day, which is acceptable for a single workplace, but after we connected it with 10 computers, we ran out of ink in less than a week.
HP has something of a delicate balancing act to achieve, as it sells both laser and inkjet all-in-ones for small business use. In pitching the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, the company points out that it costs less than half as much to run as a typical laser and it's also, or course, around half the...
Much cheaper than colour laser; Easy wireless connection; Max 25,000 page monthly duty cycle
No multipurpose tray; USB socket not PictBridge compatible; Slower than specified
This printer did a great job faxing, scanning, printing. Wireless setup was a breeze. But replacing the ink cartridges was a nightmare. What should have been a simple swap-out, swap-in turned out to be a 40 minute tech support call.
good printing
new colour cartridges not recognized by printer
