The HP OfficeJet 4630 offers solid print times and above-average photo quality, but also suffers from poor plain-paper color output, slow scan times and a high cost per page. Business users looking for a sub-$100 printer can get better quality and more affordable prints from the Canon Pixma MG5620.
Attractive design; Document feeder for batch copying; Dedicated fax buttons; Solid quality pictures on photo paper
Gray-scale screen; Mediocre plain-paper photo quality; Relatively high cost per page; Slow scan speeds
I've purchased three of these units so I'm very familiar with them...and like them. This unit operates fine like the others but there were some questions about it that the seller hasn't addressed...namely, I questioned whether it was a refurbished unit.
HP's Officejet 4630 eAiO targets micro-businesses and home offices, combining duplex printing with scanning, faxing and copying capabilities in a single low-cost device. It's small enough to sit on a desk and comes with a basic 100-sheet input paper tray.
For the money this unit makes an excellent home/office unit. This was purchased to replace an old bulky copier and a separate printer, both of which had chosen to misbehave. It's used as a printer 70% of the time, copier 25% and fax 5%. Preforms all tasks admirably. Wireless to boot.
Compact Design; Easy To Set Up; Easy To Use; Fast Operation; Great Print Quality; Quiet; Reliable
Packed with a lot of great features including built-in Quick Forms. Double sided printing, also print directly from smartphone or tablet. Get the HP ePrint app. It's also compatible with HP's Instant Ink service. Overall great little printer.
Compact; easy to use; wireless direct; print from phone or tablet
No touch screen
This is an All In One unit, that means it can Print, Scan Copy and Fax. It is very compact and you can print by normal use from a PC or by sending items across the Network or even across the world by using your special email.
Bought this to replace another brand that just wasn't reliable. This new HP performs beautifully and has been completely hassle free. I can print wirelessly from any computer in the house, and the double sided documents feature saves paper.
This budget AIO is slow but delivers better-than-average print quality. Its hole card: With it, you can get very low per-page costs with HP's Instant Ink program, though the savings hinge on the kind of pages you print.
Good print quality for the price; Low-cost color pages with Instant Ink subscription; Built-in ADF; Wi-Fi
Slow print speeds; Basic control panel; Two-tank design; Limited-capacity output tray; No flash-card slot; PictBridge port; or Ethernet
This was by far the easiest printer I've ever set up. In a matter of minutes I was able to print from my laptop, tablet, and mobile phone. The print
