HP Color LaserJet Pro M452dw

If text quality is a key concern for you, consider the HP M252dw as a light-duty option, or the Xerox 6500/DN, which offers a step up in paper capacity and the option to add a second tray. Both deliver better text quality.

Notable speed and high-quality graphics in our tests; Integrates Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and NFC

Slightly subpar text quality in testing

This single-function LaserJet is fast and prints well, but the pricing of the printer itself and its four toners reduces its appeal for all but the lightest-printing offices.

Fast print speed; Good print quality overall; especially graphics; Stylish and well-built; Wide mobile/cloud support; including Wi-Fi Direct; NFC; PCL6 support; PostScript 3 emulation

A bit pricey for its class; Cost per page too high for both color and monochrome

Review of the HP Laserjet Pro M452dn Color Printer

There are many challenges to picking an appropriate color laser printer, including the total cost, from the price to replacing cartridges, as well as page output, ease of use and connecting to a variety of devices without issues.

Excellent Printing Quality...But

I am very impressed with the print quality of this printer. However I have had several problems with the printer. The driver has needed to be replaced quite a few times since I purchased it less than 6 months ago. This printer uses a ton of ink and the cartridges are very expensive.

Poor Color Performance

If you don't care what color your prints are, this is a solid buy.

great printer

Very easy to setup. I connected it to the network switch/router using an ethernet cable. On MAC OS X Snow Leopard, just add it as an lpd printer and check the duplex option. Wireless printing also works. I can print from my mobile devices using direct print. Color images come out great.

Was recommended to buy this by our office manager, however this printer has been nothing but problems! It took 2 weeks for our IT department to get it connected (not because of their issue, but because of issues with the printer) and then the printer was on the fritz for 2 more weeks, until finally...

Problems since day 1

Slow, lag between print pages, and as soon as the warranty expired, it's giving a fatal error. It lasted just over a year, now it shuts off and restarts every 5 minutes, all day, every day. Don't waste your money on HP- and the icing on the cake They don't care at all...

Glad I chose the wireless model

Awesome print quality as expected with HP. I upgraded from an old CP2025 color laser. This one is quieter and processes print jobs faster. Paying a few bucks extra for wireless networking totally worth it. Only negative is the price of color cartridges. Still as pricey as ever.

Dead simple Linux printing

We needed an easy solution for color printing from our Linux machines. This printer works flawless out of the box due to HP writing great Linux drivers.
