Overall, the HP M148fdw is a capable machine for low-volume printing. It's fast and prints great text, and its feature set is similar to much of its competition. Its price is a little lower than most machines in its class, and its running costs are competitive.

While we increasingly try to become less dependent on paper as a means of record keeping, there is no doubt that paper, along with printers, are still very much needed resources and tools. There is also no doubt that printers have historically been a pain to use and service.

I purchased this All-in-One Wireless Laser Printer a month ago and am so glad that I did. I needed to upgrade my printing capacity, especially to keep the fax machine aspect, be able to scan documents and wanted to produce top quality product, but not have to replace my drum any time soon, and did...

I buy HP equiptment because I have a strong history with using HP. My only hurdle is with setting up the printers and getting the right drivers. Even when I go to the HP site and plug in my printer discription I don't get all the right drivers to make my all in one fully functional.

The instructions with the printer are simple, but refer t a Set Up Wizard screen on the control panel that does not exist. An hour or two with a dell service tech in India who eventually had to remotely control my laptop found the router and allowed wireless set up. It should not be this hard.

The price was right and set up was very easy. Love HP laser printers!
