best monitor ever
I've had many monitors from 15" to 17", 19" and 20", but this 22" is the best, not because of the size but because of the picture quality and the type of inputs offered. True, I switched over from VGA to DVI input with this monitor and the detail is much better, but that was to be expected.

Overall a superb monitor that gives great picture quality and look despite its size
Working in an office I sit in front of a computer screen pretty much all of my day so having a screen that gives me a great clarity and a clear picture are very important to me so when my company decided to upgrade our montors the 22" HP Compaq ones I was delighted but has it all been smooth...

Great LCD Monitor
This is a great HP LCD monitor at a great price and especially with an HP backed three year warranty. The colors are crisp and clear on this 22" display and with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 with USB, DVI, VGA and display port adapters, you can't go wrong with this item.

Definitely recommend
I utilize dual monitors on my desktop at work. This unit was ordered to replace one that was accidently damaged by our cleaning crew. Great monitor! Recommend!

Excellent Monitor
Arrived well packed. Connected to PC and all works fine. Monitor was in excellent condition and now working very well.

mostly satisfied
I am mostly satisfied with the exception that it says DVI cables are included, and what I received with my two monitors was two VGA cables.

Works well enough
This is the monitor I use for web development/programming. I haven't tried it with any games. I'd say the quality monitor fits the price well enough.
Pros:
- Monitor height/angle is very easily adjustable
- Contrasts of most colors looks great
- Control panel is better than most other monitors
Cons:
- I still think that the control panel sucks
- but I've yet to see a good one on a monitor or tv

Despite a few build and design issues, HP's latest 22-inch monitor punches above its weight and is perfect for users looking for a budget, widescreen solution that is both versatile and sturdy.
Pros:
- Solid performance
- Good adjustability through sturdy stand
Cons:
- Build quality issues in the frame
- Inset panel causes reflections
- Backlight bleed around the edges
- Video playback leaves a bit to be desired

HP Compaq LA2205wg LCD monitor
HP's Compaq LA2205wg is a relatively straightforward 22in LCD monitor, but its brushed aluminium highlights make it look like a premium product. Its flexible stand, glare-resistant screen and solid performance make it a decent buy.
Pros:
- Attractive design
- good build quality
- swivelling, tilting and height-adjustable screen
- straightforward and easy to use on-screen display
- respectable performance
Cons:
- Distortion on the screen when bezel is pushed
- deep-set panel reflects on edge of bezel
- no HDMI
- below average viewing angles
