Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer – five names that are likely to conjure up visions of either a) fist-pumping stadium rock or b) Bruce Willis dying in a hail of meteorites while Liv Tyler sobs into the camera.

When Guitar Hero II and III came out, throwing high scores their way was as simple as Slow Ride on Easy. Both titles rocked our world and so the idea of a one-off special featuring one of the biggest rock acts of all time is another welcome addition.
To put it plainly, if you're a huge Aerosmith fan or if you don't already own Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, then Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is a fine addition to your library that will get your house jumping.
Released in June 2008, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is the first expansion game for the hugely popular Guitar Hero series which focuses on the career of one of America's most successful rock and roll bands.
I really enjoy Guitar Hero Aerosmith. It has is basically all Aerosmith songs that you have heard before.
Aerosmith; Fun to play; Good sound; Online
Can get boring
Barebones version of Guitar Hero that is only of use if you like Aerosmith. Achievements are a slog though and will require many playthroughs if you want to get them all. Rock Band still has the better interface and, of course, Aerosmith suck horribly.
I received the item within 2 weeks of ordering. The game bundle's box looked a little rough, but the game should be fine. It doesn't seem to be enough to damage the items inside (I haven't had a chance to open it). It's a Xmas present for my son and it arrived in plenty of time, so I'm satisfied.
The bottom line is that if this had have been released at a more reasonable price point (say £20) then it could have been a real hit. Alternatively the new tracks could have been released as downloadable content for Guitar Hero 3, which would have made more sense.
The band look good and animate well; Some great tracks; Great for Aerosmith fans
Gameplay starting to feel stale; Overpriced; Sucks if you don't like Aerosmith
Figuring out if Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - which, if not for character models and stage animations unique to the band, would amount to a ...
Spot-on difficulty and note patterns; Great local/online multiplayer modes; Video interviews with band members
Misses key 'Smith songs; Supporting artists add little; No appeal for non-Aerosmith fans
I'm someone who likes Aerosmith but am not too familiar with a large amount of their songs, therefore I was put off playing this game for a long time thinking it was just for the hardcore fans.
