The game is amazing. So much to do from racing to heists. Brilliant maps cars and freedom to do what you like.
It was inevitable. Critically acclaimed titles released towards the end of a console's life cycle are bound to get some sort of update when the next generation arrives. It's not an unwelcome trend, of course, but these things are almost a given at this point.
The bar has been raised...Good luck reaching it, let alone clearing it.
I have just spent a half-hour planning the perfect heist. I'm going in smart, knocking out the guards and the staff behind the delicate jewellery counters of the store with a carefully placed smoke bomb, and smashing into each cabinet with the butt of a semi-automatic rifle before making my escape...
Stunning visuals; The excellent first-person mode makes for a very different experience; The best writing and voice acting you'll see in a video game; Los Santos is the ideal virtual playground for anarchy; Thrilling heist missions
Some frame rate drops during busier moments; First-person doesn't work so well for vehicles
GTA 5 is a masterpiece
For a game that released in 2013, GTA 5 is still doing really well partly due to the great online multiplayer experience they've created with GTA Online. The ability to plan and execute a heist with your online friends is definitely a thrill.
Great visuals; Replay value; One of the best online multiplayer experiences (GTA Online); Frequent content updates
Out dated visuals; lack of single player dlc updates; no ability to add mods to console versions
Grand Theft Auto 5 caused a stir when it was released more than a year ago, a stir that's all the more frenzied in its new-gen incarnation on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Why? Because now you can experience all the bloodshed, sleaze and profanity throughout its open-world from a first-person...
Detailed world looks better than ever; now with first-person playthrough option; great characters and missions; a wealth content
Popup not eliminated in new-gen versions; goes out of its way to be distasteful (but that might be part of the appeal
This game is immense. And all the Multiplayer is worth a try. Loads of free DLC's and an immersive story with 100's of hours worth of gameplay.
Grand Theft Auto V has renewed my interest in a series that I figured I'd left behind. It's also very pretty, although first person mode isn't all it's cracked up to be. I've got a long history with the Grand Theft Auto series, dating all the way back to the very first game.
