Google Pixel 2 Review

The Pixel 2 is a brilliantly fast, compact smartphone with a stunning camera.

Blazing fast speed; Great software experience; fast updates; Excellent camera; IP67 water-resistant; Compact; colorful screen

No headphone jack; Average battery life; Chunky edges around screen; dated design

Google Pixel 2 Review: Android camera magic

If there's a rockstar of the Android world in 2017, it's the new Pixel 2 . Google's own smartphones may not sell in as great a number as, say, Apple's iPhone or Samsung's Galaxy, but they're arguably no less important in their own way.

Pure Android Oreo experience is tasty; Excellent camera; Solid battery life; Speedy Snapdragon 835 performance

Pixel 2 bezels are huge; Pixel 2 XL pOLED is muted and blue-tinged off-axis; Can Google meet demand

Google Pixel 2 review: plainly great

Without fail, every person who has picked up the Pixel 2 XL has said virtually the same thing: "It feels like it's made out of plastic." I said it myself when I first held it. Of course, neither the Pixel 2 nor the Pixel 2 XL are made out of plastic.

Incredible camera; Great speakers; Best Android experience; Incredible camera; Great speakers; Best Android experience

Screen shows image retention immediately; Colors are muted; even compared to other sRGB screens; No headphone jack; Huge bezels around screen; No headphone jack; Lacks some customization in camera features

In case you skipped right to the conclusion, here's what you need to know. There aren't a ton of things that separate the Pixel 2 from the Pixel 2 XL, so the model you choose will most likely depend on whether you want a big or small screen.

Best-in-class camera All-day battery life IP67 certified Loud and clear front-facing speakers Easy-to-use and practical Android experience Fluid; quick performance Google is finally good at designing smartphones 64 GB of base storage Active Edge is very useful

The Pixel 2 feels like the lesser option due to large bezels Pixel 2 XL's display feels like a step down from the Pixel XL's No headphone jack No USB Type-C headphones in the box High price tag While useful; Active Edge should have more features

Review: Google's Pixel 2 phone is the smart (and safe) choice for biz

So should you buy one? As reviewed, the Pixel 2 XL with 64GB of storage on the Verizon network costs $849. The smaller Pixel 2 costs $649, and boosting memory to 128GB adds $100 to either phone.

Easy to handle and use; fast Android feature and security updates; Now Playing music recognition; Google Assistant is fast and accurate

Limited camera functionality; not as sexy as its competition

Google Pixel 2 And Pixel 2 XL Review – Can't Get Much Better...

Google's vision of Android is becoming clearer and clearer with each passing year, and although we're not 100% of the way to the final product, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are an amazing example of how well a phone can be both built and designed.

IP67 water and dust resistant; Stunning new design (Pixel 2 XL; Solid build with great grippy coating; Front-facing stereo speakers; Wide Bluetooth audio support; Daydream VR support; Unrivaled performance; Excellent battery life on both phones; Squeeze to launch Google Assistant is handy; AI-driven...

Google Pixel 2 review: Can Google finally beat the iPhone?

When we talk about last year’s Google Pixel, the conversation inevitably focuses on the device’s shortcomings: no dust and water resistance, no wireless charging, and no expandable storage. And its design was seen as uninspired and forgettable.

Google Pixel 2 review

One pixel two, two pixel twos, large pixel two, small pixel two, pixels twos everywhere. Except in Google online stores, but that's a whole different matter. The true Pixel experience in a (slightly) smaller package and minus the display issues - this is the Google Pixel 2 in size Medium and not...
