Ascension charts Kratos' story as a Spartan, not a god. It's more grounded, more human, but every bit a God of War game.

I was promised the role of God Of War once. It was a tuesday. I was in Shoreditch, visiting my uncle Barnabus for his 42nd birthday. Down this alleyway, a man was sitting on an office chair he'd spray painted gold and called out to me using a mega phone.
Perhaps it's because God of War III did everything so perfectly that Ascension can't possibly live up to its predecessor. That being said, it's a great experience nonetheless. Kratos still has what it takes to put on a show, and in the end, that's what matters the most.
So who pissed him off this time Ares! Might've known. It seems Kratos wishes to break his blood oath with the God of War Ares. His reluctance to servitude causes the God of the Underworld, Hades to set The Furies on him.
just played it on campaign its brutal and still a kratos game it doesn,t have that epic feel that the other god of war games have but its a very good game i gave it 4 stars haven,t tryed multi yet Note: This Review was made by Play.com customer: BALDYMAN1 on Rakuten's Play.com on the date shown.
The product was defiantly worth the wait and the money as it exceeded most expectations the gameplay is great however the eagle eye view for parts makes it difficult to play
Challenging; Engaging Story Line; Gameplay; Graphics; Great Sound
Poor Instructions
In the time before the Titans, before the Gods of Olympus, the wrath of the Primordials (the beings that forged the Earth) raged out of control. From this rage, the Furies were brought forth. Neither Titan nor God, they are bound to no one. They are the enforcers of honor, the bane of traitors.
Rock solid graphical presentation; Storyline is well-paced and interesting; Combat mechanics and new targeting system ups the enjoyment level overall; Signature kills are satisfying and don't quickly grow old; Massive reduction in quicktime events; Multiplayer is a welcome addition
Some infuriatingly difficult sections; Occasional sound oddities; Camera can get stuck behind things during signature kills; What the hell is Qujikphiueeekmjquj (and no; that's not a typo
Do you like throwing spears in video games Furiously button-mashing and hacking at things
Thanks to top-notch mechanics and the deep well that is Greek mythology, Ascension is a winner. It may not be the absolute best God of War game, but it's certainly worthy of the moniker.
The series' signature combat, puzzles, and boss battles return intact, bolstered by some new items; There are some amazing setpieces; The new multiplayer mode is surprisingly good
The promptless minigames don't work well; There are some small camera problems; The story isn't up to the series' high standard; It's all a bit familiar
Think that is what everyones problem with this game was we had seen it all before we had heard it all before and to be fair it was shorter easier and all out just felt like a chore.
