Cons: Lacks 100fps slo-mo, 5.7K is now standard, Large physical size, No live-streaming, Constant connection issues

Verdict: The Fusion's USP is familiarity. It is a GoPro through and through. GoPro Fusion also works great as an handheld device thanks to its stabilization algorithm. However, it does not natively stitch videos and needs an app on a PC to pull that off.

GoPro Fusion Review

3.5
Pros: Best-in-class stitching on desktop, ProTune exposure controls, Solid build quality, Great mobile app, OverCapture offers flexible reframing options
Cons: Mobile stitching is far inferior to desktop, Fusion Studio on desktop feels very unfinished, OverCapture lacks keyframe support, Sharpness is still a sore point of 360
Verdict: Though not perfect, the Fusion has the most potential of any 360 camera we've seen.

GoPro Fusion

4.0
Pros: Great image quality, OverCapture delivers compelling traditional footage, Easy to use
Cons: Transferring footage through the app is slow and fiddly, Limited Android support for OverCapture, Relatively expensive
Verdict: GoPro is already well-known for its Hero action cameras that can withstand being submerged and thrown around with reckless abandon. The Fusion, however, sees the company's first foray into 360-degree VR capture.

GoPro Fusion

4.0
Pros: Captures 360-degree video at 5.2K resolution. OverCapture brings life to 360 footage. Photo and time-lapse modes. Rugged build. Strong image stabilization. Compatible with GoPro mounting system
Cons: Pricey. Video stitching requires some serious horsepower. Mobile OverCapture editing tools need a little work. Huge file sizes. Gets very warm when recording
Verdict: GoPro wasn't nearly first to the 360-degree camera space, but the Fusion breathes some life into the medium. Yes, there's the initial whizbang factor of 360, and VR in general, but is it sustainable Like fads that have come and gone-3D, I'm looking at you-it's wearing out its welcome.

Pros: High-quality 360-degree footage, Rugged and waterproof, Bundled Fusion Grip is handy, Overcapture works well
Cons: Fusion Studio software is glitchy, No built-in storage, Android support is bleak (for now, Expensive, Processing 360 video can be cumbersome
Verdict: GoPro has long been a dominant player in the action camera space, but of late, the company has been struggling with poor sales and has also dropped out of the drone market . VR is a new vertical for GoPro, and it's betting big on the Fusion, its new 360-degree camera.

GoPro Fusion review: The 360-degree camera you've been waiting for

4.0
Pros: OverCapture 'pan within footage' software is brilliant, Footage looks fantastic once edited in app, Waterproof and durable build, Easy to shoot, Very versatile, Fusion Grip included
Cons: No OverCapture for Android (yet, It costs a lot, Learning curve is steep if you've never shot 360 degree before, Desktop solution is hard work
Verdict: GoPro has finally launched the Fusion action camera. Like the Hero and Session, it's designed to be strapped to virtually any part of you of your kit - your bike, shoes, car or any number of other objects via accessory mounts.

Verdict: Spherical cameras seem to be one of the more undesired tech trends to be pushed on people in the past couple of years. Consumer tech companies have opted to develop these expensive products as a segue into capturing the user-generated VR vertical, but with VR itself in a rather tenuous position, the...

Great camera but check compatibility first.

4.0
Verdict: I bought this camera a while ago, and it's a great bit of kit. Definitely a lot of fun for me and the kids. Works well, easy to use regardless of whether you've owned a gopro before or not. My issue with it is there's only about 10 phones that are compatible with the camera when using the app.

Great but complicated to edit

4.0
Verdict: The camera is so amazing! So great to capture in 360 and not miss one great moment. The only downside is the editing to merge the videos together and to edit the video. I wish the GoPro app had a simpler way to do all that in one app instead of having to download another app do do all that.

good camera bad processing

4.0
Verdict: It takes great pictures and great video unfortunately, rendering takes an incredible amount of time (as in hours). I rendered a video with the Fusion Studio app it took me 17hours to do an 8minute 11 second video at 5.2K. File size was extremely large 53GB.

Good hardware, but apps are lacking in polish.

1.0
Verdict: I wanted to really like this camera, but GoPro's desktop and mobile app to process the 360 footage needs more work before it's ready for consumer use. The minimum computer requirements for the desktop app is totally understated by GoPro.

A real game changer for amateur enthusiasts

5.0
Verdict: I love this camera. I've been excited about 360 photography for a while now but it hasn't been mainstream enough for an amateur user. The GoPro Fusion is changing all that. Quite simply with this camera you can record high quality video and stills and upload them to YouTube and social media with...
