You really could have a great time with Go Vacation if you're playing with a really young gamer, family, or friends but things move slowly when you're alone. If you're desperate to replay some motion controlled sports from the Wii era you'll have a good time but Go Vacation can't escape the shadow...

Lots of Options; Fun Multiplayer

Dated Visuals; Poor Variety

Go Vacation (Switch)

harkens back to the era of mini-game compilation titles – including the mixed bag of quality content.

Go Vacation Review

Deceptively shallow

Loads of stuff to do

Could do with less content; Events needed more attention; Controls needed more work

Go Vacation

Go Vacation's Nintendo Switch port is actually the title's second attempt at hitting the spotlight. This sporty mini-game compilation originally released on the Wii in 2011. While it enjoyed moderate success, it was overshadowed by Nintendo's own attempts in Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, and was...

Kawawii Island is a lively sandbox; Some of the sports are great fun

Many activities are mediocre; Quantity over quality; Too expensive at launch

Go Vacation

We absolutely adore party games where we're able to pass the controller back and forth and have fun a whole evening in the company of some good friends. Nintendo is usually best in class on this, and never have they had a console more suitable for multiplayer than Switch.

Go Vacation Switch review - More of a weekend in Wales than a round-the-world cruise

Go Vacation is not a good game. We can skirt around the issue as much as we like, but before long we'll hit that conclusion - it's a bit of a damp squib. It's full of uninspired minigames that you've played better versions of before, its graphics aren't exactly up to the usual Switch standard, and,...

Everything from Go Vacation 's appearance, style, gameplay, and pure existence hark back to those strangely repetitive days of the Wii, where everyone and their cat was releasing a party-type sports game for Nintendo's remote-waggling sensation.

It is the age of ports onto the Switch, however, this time it is not an underplayed WiiU classic that is getting the treatment, but rather the sports-themed minigame collection Go Vacation that was originally released on the Wii back in late 2011 that is getting a new lease on life.

Over 50 mini-games; Mutliplayer fun; Exploring City Resort in inline skates or Moutain in off-road Vehicle fun; Decorating villa; variety of dogs and outfits good

Many mini-games feel a little like"cut and paste" copies of each other; Some mini-games are single button press nightmares; Fun exploration is hidden behind single-player trudge; Graphics and general gameplay feel dated and in need of a polish
