Usual Gitzo quality, Lovely smooth action and fairly lightweight. Comes with a cloth pull string bag, Also has spiked feet with rubber stoppers. Best use for travel although and will support up to 300mm lens.

Recently took this tripod to a weekend holiday with my family to June Lake, California and the Gitzo 2542LS performed excellent. I've owned a Gitzo 5-series, RRS-TVC33, and an Induro AT-213 tripods.
