Gears of War was the first truly mind blowing graphically next-gen game when it came out in 2006. Gears 2 was "bigger, better, and more bad ass" in 2008 and was sort of like an unruly teenager.

Gears of War, as a franchise, has been first for a few things. The original really put the cover, shooter on the map, differentiating itself a lot from the way shooters were to be played in the future.

Controller feels great and works great. The joystick are a little loose so if you leave them alone they may stick in the direction and cause your character to still move despite not wanting to. Other than that, the controller works great! I'd definitely recommend this to all Gears of War fans!

My husband played this game and loved it. He later sold his 360 & all his games to a coworker, but my fifteen year old son then asked for his own and Gears of War 3 was the first game on his list. There is a new G.O.W. game out but people are saying that #3 is the last/best Gears game to date!

This product was a waste of money. NewEgg would not accept a return on this product. I wish I would've bought it at a local retailer so I could've got a refund.

It's lightweight and comfortable; Incoming voice is clear through the earbud

It's wired; It has an awful microphone; Friends said I sounded garbled and staticy; Teammates were unable to understand me; I tried 3 different controllers all with the same result

If you're a die-hard gears fan;you,should buy The Epic Edition and show off to your friends & mom-to let them know you're a REAL grub killer! Whats better than having a statue of Marcus with his gun,in your room intimidating you to play?!!Plus the exclusive DLC doesn't hurt..

If you're planning to play Gears of War 3's multiplayer (which you totally should it's awesome) then this is a must. No seriously it is required that you download this in order to find any matches at all. It's free so that's not the issue.

I was happy to finally receive it, I tried to obtain it online from 3 different stores, and it was cancelled 3 times, and the option to ship to my home store was not available, so I had to pay shipping fees. Happy with the game, just not happy with the difficulty obtaining it

Gears of War 3 is a tough game to rate. For starters, the game mechanics are virtually unchanged since the original, with some minor control tweaks. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the game feels dated as a result.
