Now, even with the serious third-act problems in the game's script and the uninspired characters, this is still a very good game. After all, Gears 2 is, first and foremost, an action game. It's raison d'etre is to amuse and entertain, the emphasis on gunfire and testosterone.

As usual practice, Epic Games continues to support their games months after releasing. The latest offering is the All Fronts Collection/Dark Corners DLC which adds a whopping amount of maps and a new deleted story chapter.

Never bring a chainsaw bayonet to a game of cloaks and daggers. The new maps are great, but that stealth sequence should have stayed dead.

Been playing this game alot online and found it to be one of the best online games the xbox 360 has to offer. Horde Mode is alot of fun (very much like Halo 3 ODST new multiplayer mode), In horde you have to flight in a group waves of emeny units which countine to get harder each wave.

Took all of the greatness of GoW 1 and took to another level again, with gorgeous graphics and a better gameplay experience. Storyline wasn't interesting as the first, but thats not to say it was bad. Multiplayer has improved a lot, but still has many issues.

The way that the developer went on about the story of Gears of War 2 you would have thought it was the deepest thing ever, well the reality is very different, as whilst it's an improvement over the original, it's not exactly vast enough to announce it from the rooftops with great enthusiasm.

This game is a lot better than the first one, only thing with gears of war 2 is it's way to short. Other than that you can't fault the game.
