Back in 2006, Gears of War came out for the Xbox 360 and shocked the videogame industry. The game was hyped up for months prior to its release and received vast coverage from the gaming media. When the game finally came to be released, it opened to both large critical acclaim and sales.

Gears of War 2 is a fantastic game, with the Horde Multiplayer co-op mode being our favourite way to pass the time at the moment.

It's safe to say that sales dictate the commercial success of a game, but a gaming success is something that latches onto the collective consciousness of the gaming community and doesn't let go.

The Gears of War series is set to become a veritable action gaming institution with the first in the series firmly entrenched in the hearts of gamers as a classic. Gears of War 2 will undoubtedly follow suit.

The graphics are outstanding and exciting new multiplayer modes and weapons keep it fresh

Microsoft returns with another splatter-fest masterpiece. In 2006 Epic Games released the hugely anticipated Gears of War for the Xbox 360. It was a masterpiece, there is no argument about that. 2 Years on and Epic Games have released the sequel, Gears of War 2.
