Garmin Vivosmart 3

Garmin's Vivosmart 3 activity tracker may not have HR in its naming scheme like its predecessors -- the Vivosmart HR and GPS-enabled Vivosmart HR+ -- but it does include a heart-monitor with 24-7 monitoring and adds new, smarter features while returning to the slimmer design and hidden display of...

The Garmin Vivosmart 3 is slim, very comfortable to wear, has a built-in heart-rate monitor and is fully waterproof; It's loaded with extra features, including stress-level measurements, VO2 Max readings, and a rep counter; It shows notifications from your phone

Some of the features are a little difficult to access on the watch; the display isn't as sharp as some competing models' displays

Garmin Vivosmart 3

The thinner-and-lighter trend isn't just dominating smartphones and laptops-fitness tech companies are constantly trying to make "the next big thing" as thin and light as they possibly can.

Easy-to-wear design; Good new rep-counting feature; Auto-recording feature and on-device activity menu; New estimated VO2 max and fitness age scores

Cannot change out bands; Heart rate monitor is inconsistent at high BPMs; Sleep tracking isn't as comprehensive as that of the Alta HR; Limited on-band music controls; Garmin Connect badly needs an overhaul

I've had this for about 2 weeks. At first the battery life was fine, not anywhere near the advertised 5 days but it was ok. I went into the settings and shut everything that drains the battery off, dimmed the screen, shut off phone notifications, shut off auto track feature and heart rate monitor.

Garmin vivosmart 3

The Garmin vivosmart 3 has a lot of features. However, I am finding that sometimes it doesn't always respond as expected. Lifting and turning your wrist to see the time doesn't always work. Sometimes I have to give it a few hard taps to light up.

meets all expectations

WHEN I READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS TRACKER IT TICKED ALL MY BOXES AND WHEN IT ARRIVED I WAS THRILLED WITH IT AS IT WAS JUST AS I HOPED FOR AND SOME - IT LOOKS GOOD - IT FEELS GOOD AND IS COMFY TO WEAR AND I SOON GOT USE TO ITS COMMANDS AND FUNCTIONS AND I AM QUITE AMAZED AT HOW MUCH INFORMATION IT...

Works well. We use it for tracking heart rate and sleep, not for 'standard' activity-type tracking. Effectively we are using it for medical monitoring, although the instructions have lots of legal jargon saying you can't do that. The battery lasts a number of days between charges, which is good.

Brilliant buy

I bought this watch a week ago as part of my get fit initiative and it's great. It has some really good features like sleep analysis, stress management as well as step counter and heart rate measurement. The fact it's waterproof is also a real bonus as means I can wear it in the pool.

Perfect

Exactly what I wanted, talks to my photo software and allows me to measure all the things my photo can't. Comfortable fit and easy to use

Time to move

Bought for my wife and she lo as it. It fits her wrist well and it is quite accurate. The size is just big enough to make the screen usable for texts and to see valuable information

Review: Garmin Vivosmart 3 fitness band

The rivalry between today's fitness bands is so fierce that they're cramming in more tech than Inspector Gadget's fedora.
