Similar functionality to Vivoactive HR, but better looking!

I previously owned the Vivoactive HR and was very happy with its functionality. After the face fell off it unexpectedly after 27 months, JL gave me a partial refund towards a new model. I have had it several weeks now and it seems to do everything the Vivoactive HR did, plus one or two more.

Nice improvement over my Vivoactive HR.

This is my 4th Garmin wearable. I am an active 64 year old female. Mr previous 2 Garmins were both Vivoactive HRs. I purchased my Garmin Vivoactive 3 two weeks ago. So far I am very happy with the features and improvements to the Vivoactive 3.

All round great

This watch has been great. The battery life is fantastic and alll of the features make it a must for anyone into exercise. The detail it provides is in-depth and easy to access on the watch face as well as on the accompanying phone app. It can be customised to look great too.

Very happy with it

It is a really awesome watch with so many good functions and is a big step from my previous watch which was the forerunner 35 but it has one problem, it gets scratched very easily because the glass curves off the side like the Apple watch so mine got scratched 3 days after I got it, besides from...

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music

Finding the features you want in a fitness tracker or smartwatch is essential, but it's equally important that it checks a few other boxes, too: reliability, ruggedness, accuracy, and solid battery life. Rest assured the Garmin Vivoactive 3 delivers on all of those fronts.

Holds up to 500 songs locally; Measures steps, stairs, sleep, continuous heart rate; Includes advanced fitness metrics: VO2 max, fitness age, stress; Contactless payment and smartwatch features

Can only reply to messages from watch when paired with Android; No women's health tracking

Garmin Vivoactive 3 review: Serious multi-sport tracking at a sensible price point

In the Vivoactive 3, Garmin has tried to build a device which is predominantly an everyday, normal persons', lifestyle-focused fitness watch. Think of this as more competition for your high-end Fitbit than a "serious running watch for serious runners".

Affordable; Long-lasting battery life; Lightweight design; Versatile and capable of tracking multiple activities; Degree of data detail

Garmin Pay isn't supported in the UK yet; Some connectivity issues; Screen less attractive than Apple/Fitbit competition

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music Review

I have a growing list of expectations from my fitness tracker or smartwatch. Does it track heart rate continuously, show notifications from my phone, and provide advanced stats about my health? Can I wear it to bed, in the pool, at the office? Can I rely on my watch as much as my phone because it has GPS, contactless payments, and music onboard? The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music checks all those boxes and more. It's the direct descendant of the Garmin Vivoactive 3, only beefed up with storage for music and audio files, which you can listen to via Bluetooth headphones. And it's a strong contender if you want a watch that does it all. What's New in the Vivoactive 3 Music? If you're already familiar with the Garmin Vivoactive 3, not much in the Music version will be new to you, unless you haven't run any firmware updates in a while (a few sleep tracking improvements rolled out earlier in 2018). The color options are slightly different for this release, and it costs $30 more than the old...

The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music packs all the best features from running watches and fitness trackers into a timepiece you can wear anywhere.

Great Running Watch

I needed a true running GPS running watch to track my miles and workout intensities. I was using an Apple Watch (which was good, but not exactly what I wanted) prior. The Vivoactive is exactly what I was looking for! It's a great watch and unbelievably light weight.

In keeping with Garmin's sports tech legacy, the Garmin Vivoactive 3 has a heart rate sensor, GPS tracking and a selection of built-in apps dedicated to keeping tabs on a range of sports activities, from running and indoor cycling to skiing and snowboarding.

Subtle; circular; stylish design; Good GPS and heart rate monitor; Tracks a range of activities

Can't choose which apps get alerts; iOS users can't respond to texts; Base model can't support music playback

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Review

The Vivoactive 3 is Garmin's first sports watch to include the company's contactless payment system – Garmin Pay – designed to rival the likes of Apple Pay, Google Pay and Fitbit Pay.

Easy-to-read display; Accurate distance tracking; Good heart rate monitor; Long battery life

Feels a little plasticky; Limited coaching elements; Garmin Pay isn't widely available; No onboard music storage
