Slow
My prior Nuvi 255 updated speed nearly instantaneously. This Nuii 50 is much slower. If you change speed, it will not catch up to the actual speed for several seconds. It's a problem if you're setting cruise control or busy watching traffic. On the other hand, "Points of Interest" is expanded.
Pros:
- Large Screen
Cons:
- Slow speed update

Fantastic Value - bargain and excellent product
Has everything you could want with an incredible range of maps covering 24 countries in Western Europe. The extra large, very clear 5" screen is slightly larger than the ones I have borrowed and previously but the physical dimensions are not significantly bigger.

Great GPS, really easy to use!
Love it! Im a bit technologically challenged, and I got it to work really easily. Just plug it in, and follow the prompts. Enter the address you want to go to, and touch the GO button on the screen.

Updating your Garmin before use.
I used my Nuvi 50 after I purchased next day, had been driven from Warragul to Melbourne city to Geelong and go back. It's dead while I was driving for few times. I need to pull over to reset my Nuvi 50. I am very disappoint because it was wasting me a lot of time.

Garmin nuvi 50
Garmin isn't a brand we usually associate with rock-bottom pricing. Although the company competes well on value, its products are generally not the cheapest, instead giving you a lot for your money whilst remaining at the more premium end of the market.
Pros:
- Great value
- Huge 5in screen
- Speed camera locations
Cons:
- No traffic option
- No Bluetooth
- No trafficTrends route calculation
