Over priced GPS
I'm a first time GPS user. I found this unit to either be too difficult to figure out or unable to do some fundimental things. Was tring to set the units to yards and measure a few golf drives but could not make it do whay I wanted. Screen is too small as well.
Pros:
- Seems to be a high quality unit with some advanced functionality
Cons:
- Short battery life
- small screen
- difficult to operate

Upside down for easy ust.
Replaces a dead Lowrance H2O. Just got it today. Whoever decided to put the controls at the top and the screen at the bottom clearly never contemplated that anyone would use it with one hand while steering a sailboat with the other. Not sure that I am going to keep it.

Garmin GPSMAP 78
The Garmin GPSMAP 78 brought a major update to the GPSMAP 76 handheld line. Garmin had a huge hit with the 60/76 series, and instead of messing with a winner, they turned their attention to new interfaces, which were introduced on the Colorado series, followed by the touch screen Oregon line.
