Garmin Approach G6
The Garmin Approach G6 is Garmin's top of the line golf unit. Their smallest and lightest handheld (as opposed to wrist-top models like the S1 ), the G6 sports a bright color touchscreen and weighs in at only 3.37 ounces.

This is the one to buy!
Just go buy it, you will not be disappointed! Take it to your local golf course, go to the first tee, switch it on and by the time you've teed off it's ready to use. It just "walks" you around the course.

Does pretty much what I expected
I have to say that I do like this GPS system. It has good battery life, I have yet to find a course that I play that it doesn't know about. It seems to be accurate and easy to read in bright sunlight. My only real complaint is that I like to keep it in my pocket rather than clipped to my belt.
Pros:
- It's accurate and easy to use
Cons:
- Locking screen isn't convenient

If you're an amateur golfer, then it's inevitable that at some point during your round, you are going to misjudge the distance of a shot and ruin the chance of posting a good score on that hole - a particularly annoying mistake if your ball ends up in OB because of it.
