Certainly, digital SLR cameras have the look and feel of those old 35mm SLR film cameras, but those interchangeable lens models may be beyond the budget of many photographers. When it comes to fixed-lens cameras, the majority of today's digital cameras are of the skinny point-n-shoot variety, many...
Pros:
- 26x manual zoom lens
- Very good image quality in almost all situations
- Plenty of buttons for quick access to the features you need
- Mode dial saves time when picking shooting modes
- Popup flash provides excellent low-light photo quality
- Included lens cap fits tightly to protect glass
- LCD tilts to...
Cons:
- Very expensive fixed-lens camera
- Camera is extremely large and heavy
- Beginning photographers may be confused by all of the options
- Menu structure doesn't seem to have a lot of organization
- Autofocus mechanism struggles to find the subject more often than it should for a camera in this price...

None on eBay costs as low as it can be purchased for elsewhere.
Takes very nice pictures throughout the focal range. Color rendition is almost as good as Canon. Ergonomics I liked very much.

I sold my complete Nikon D5000 camera kit (4 lens + flash) after I purchased the Fuji X-S1 and EF-20 flash. I've also been waiting some time for a replacement for my old Fuji S100fs. The X-S1 was clearly worth the wait.
Pros:
- Lens versatility
- overall build quality
Cons:
- Not quite up to the low light noise of a dSLR

Perfect
Make no mistake about this camera. There's no point spending this money without a reasonable knowledge of photography basics. I had a Fujifilm HS-10 before this which took some really good pictures, but it did have its limitations.
Pros:
- Durable
- Fast
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality
- Lightweight
Cons:
- Focus Occasioanlly Crashe
- Slow To Save Raw Files

Great Zoom
Love the 24mm wide angle len and the good auto focus when zoom or wide angle shot. Bad video quality. than again I use a small compact camera for video they seem to produce better video quality than DSLR or and expensive photo camera.

A superb camera
I am used to a 35mm SLR and was looking for a camera where I didn\'t need to keep swapping lenses which can be cumbersome. After researching several reviews, I settled on the the Fuji X-S1. I am more than happy with the choice.

I am a professional photographer living and working in Albuquerque, NM - a very difficult photo market. I use a pro Nikon rig for my business but use smaller cameras for my landscape work etc. Over the years I have owned a myriad of digital cameras from Canon, Nikon and Panasonic.

A charm to use for enthusiasts, solid quality, good image quality.
A solid investment. Much much better image quality than all those other superzooms with smaller 1/2.3" sensors. Although this has a much larger 2/3" sensor, it is not as large as the newer Sony X10 and panasonic fz1000 which both come with a larger 1" sensor.

with large zoom lenses and large image sensors are starting to be more prevalent in the digital camera marketplace, as camera manufacturers are looking to expand the segment of the market between budget-priced thin cameras and interchangeable lens cameras.

"Looks and Feels Like A Pro"
I bought my Fuji X-S1 three or four years ago and it's seen some hard use but it still keeps on ticking. I've used it for everything from nature walks along the beaches and into the mountains of Okinawa to trips to the city to shoot Okinawan festivals and I have really enjoyed this camera.
Pros:
- This is an easy to use and a very fun camera to own
Cons:
- For some the camera may seem a little heavy but it's perfect for me
