A camera that gets you back to photography
I read about the X-Pro1 late 2011 after lusting over the X100. The X100 had everything going for it except a "fixed" (non-zoom) lens. Enter the X-Pro1. In the past, Fuji took Nikon bodys and created their own quasi dslr.
Pros:
- Amazing detail and low light capabilities
- Lots of control
Cons:
- Battery Cover obstructed if using tripod mount
- No lighting fast auto-focus

The X-Pro1 is a logical evolution from the fixed-lens FinePix X100 , and it shares many of that camera's best attributes. The traditional dial-based control layout makes it a very engaging camera to use, and the clever hybrid optical-electronic viewfinder gives an immersive view of the world while...

Fujifilm X-Pro 1 Review
The X-Pro1 is Fujifilm's premium entry into the mirrorless camera segment, the announcement of which comes alongside the release of three fast aperture prime lenses. For a camera that costs Rs. 1,04,999, we'd have expected better focus performance (with respect to tracking and acquisition).
Pros:
- New sensor design delivers very sharp images even at base apertures
- True Rangefinder-like experience
- Good selection of prime lenses that take good advantage of the sensor
Cons:
- Relatively slow AF
- Changing from photo to video mode a little cumbersome
- Too expensive
- especially given the competition in the sub 50K range

Amazing in almost every way, but a slow autofocus holds it back from greatness

Fujifilm X-Pro1 Review: Serious Style, Serious Price
Mirrorless cameras are generally geared toward the enthusiast or semi-pro consumer. Some companies, like Canon with its new EOS M offering , are seeking to cater to a broader market in features and styling.

This hope was bolstered by the arrival of the FinePix X100 and the expectations it generated, almost immediately, that an interchangeable lens version couldn't be all that far behind.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 review
With almost every major manufacturer, save mysteriously Canon, now offering a mirror-less compact with a larger than average sensor and on which the lens can be swapped for near digital SLR (DSLR) quality, Fuji has belatedly joined the fray.
Pros:
- Stunningly high build quality will tempt those who may have been lusting after an even more expensive Leica rangefinder camera
- plus we love the extremely high resolution LCD and EVF/optical viewfinder
Cons:
- The priciest Compact System Camera (CSC) out there
- auto focus a little sluggish especially during video recording
- rear LCD not angle adjustable
- EVF provides more accurate view than optical finder

Fujifilm X-Pro1
The 16.3 effective megapixel Fuji X-Pro1 camera has barely left our side for the past two weeks. And it's not purely because, with its sturdy high-end enthusiast metal build, plus Leica M8/M9-alike rangefinder styling, it is the sort of camera once bought you certainly want to show off.
Pros:
- Full manual photographic control
- Leica-like construction that feels solid enough to withstand a war
- very high resolution LCD and sensor activated EVF/optical viewfinder too
Cons:
- The high-end price tag
- rear LCD not angle adjustable
- AF slow to snap back into focus if adjusting framing when shooting video
