Fujifilm X-Pro2 Review: A Blend of Passion and Perfection

4.5
Verdict: Fujifilm's X-Series has always been pushing the boundaries for delivering the best performance from a hybrid rangefinder within a compact mirror-less camera. The X-Pro1 gave rise to all the hype with its X-Trans sensor technology and hybrid multi viewfinder.

Fuji X-Pro2

4.0
Verdict: The Fuji X-Pro2 introduces a new 24 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that shows exceptional image-quality. Sharpness, dynamic-range, metering and colors are all very good. Noise levels are extremely low until medium sensitivities where they still remain quite low.
Pros: Very low image noise up to ISO 3200, Excellent sharpness, Wide dynamic-range, Superb metering, Great color accuracy, Highly accurate AF, Excellent EVF mode, Plenty of direct controls, Excellent build quality
Cons: Below average AF speed in low-light, Color cast with AWB, Lens obstructs OVF, Not Exposure-Priority, Poor ISO dial design, Soft dial detents, Soft aperture detents With all current XF-mount lenses, Video recording delay, Very short battery-life

Review: FujiFilm X-Pro2

4.5
Verdict: It's been barely five years since FujiFilm plunged into the consumer camera market with the fixed-lens X100, and a mere four years since the company's flagship X-Pro1 hit the market.
Pros: A photographer's camera, and the most fully realized camera in Fuji's X series. Phase-detection autofocus system has improved speed and AF-point resolution. New 24-megapixel sensor is on par with many full-frame chips.
Cons: The weakest point is battery life. It sucks. Extra batteries are mandatory. The EVF is OK, but not not as vibrant as the XT-1

FujiFilm X Pro-2

4.0
Verdict: I see a good number of professional photographers at a range of events and while a lot of them have Canon offerings there are also Olympus and Fujicameras. Here I get to try a recent mirrorless compact system camera that is very much in their professional range which really pushes my knowledge – or...

FIRST LOOK: Fujifilm X-Pro2

4.5
Verdict: In looks and handling the X-Pro2 combines familiar functionality with improvements to handling that combine with the camera's increased sensor resolution to present strong arguments for updating from earlier X-series models.

Fuji X-Pro2 Review

4.7
Verdict: When it comes to ergonomics (ISO selector apart!), compactness, autofocus speed and accuracy, choice of lenses and overall image quality, the Fuji X-Pro2 proved to be outstanding. Just like with the original X-Pro1, I am sure Fuji will continue its Kaizen approach of continuous firmware development...

Review: Fujifilm X-Pro2

4.2
Verdict: The world isn't exactly short of fantastic compact system cameras, but every so often one comes along that manages to stand out from the pack. The X-Pro2 does exactly that.

Fujifilm X-Pro 2

No reviews
Verdict: It has become almost commonplace in the world of digital cameras for manufacturers to offer upgraded models that don't offer much in the way of significant improvements. Such minor changes don't really give photographers much of an incentive to pay for the new camera.
Pros: ISO performance is outstanding versus other mirrorless cameras, Hybrid viewfinder is a great feature and offers good versatility, Many upgrades over the X-Pro1, Good overall image quality in a variety of shooting conditions, Can shoot in both JPEG and RAW image formats, Six different function...
Cons: Camera's price is pretty high for a mirrorless model, No built-in flash unit, Battery life could be better, Camera will take some practice to learn to use all of the dials and buttons efficiently; no mode dial is used, EV dial hangs over back edge of camera, meaning you might bump it out of place...

Fujifilm X-Pro 2

4.2
Verdict: The X-Pro2 is a 24MP high-end X-mount camera whose appeal is inextricably linked to its innovative optical/electronic hybrid viewfinder. It offers excellent image quality and some of the best out-of-camera JPEGs on the market, and comes in a well built, elegant body with plenty of direct control.

The Street Shooter to Beat in 2016

Fujifilm X-Pro2 Mirrorless Camera Review

No reviews
Verdict: Just like the Fujifilm X-Pro1, which was introduced in 2012, the new Fujifilm X-Pro2 mirrorless camera is based on an APS-C sensor, but it uses a completely new version of the "X-Trans CMOS" sensor and now offers 24 megapixels instead of 16MP.

Fujifilm X-Pro2

4.0
Verdict: In the five years since the introduction of Fujifilm's X-Pro1 , the mirrorless camera space has improved by leaps and bounds. The long-awaited X-Pro2 ($1,699, body only) takes everything that photographers love about its predecessor and improve upon it.
Pros: Quick focus and 8.2fps burst shooting. Large buffer. Unique hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder. Focus selection joystick. Film emulation modes. All-weather build. Dual SD slots. Wi-Fi
Cons: Optical viewfinder not well-suited for telephoto lenses. Fixed LCD doesn't support touch input. Video limited to 1080p. Omits built-in flash. Expensive

Fujifilm X-Pro2 Review @ Photoxels

Verdict: The X-Pro2 does not brandy its pedigree on the front, yet is instantly recognizable. Fujifilm X-Pro 2

Verdict: With its refined build, all-metal body and classically-styled exterior, there's no doubting the X-Pro2's prestige status. Fujifilm X-Pro2 review: my favorite camera

4.2
Verdict: Fujifilm's new X-Pro2 is a tough camera to review by any ordinary metric - it's an exotic tool that defies rational purchasing decisions. There are cameras in its price range that will give you better image quality, and there are cheaper cameras - even from Fujifilm - that offer more features.
Pros: Incomparable viewfinder, Awesome focus joystick, Excellent image quality and performance
Cons: Fiddly ISO dial, Smaller EVF than X-T1, No tilt-screen

Fujifilm X-Pro 2

No reviews
Verdict: I've been looking forward to the X-Pro2, Fujifilm's flagship mirrorless camera, ever since switching over to the X Series 18 months ago. To understand why, you need to know a little about me. I've only really been taking cameras seriously for seven years.

Fujifilm X-Pro 2

Verdict: The FUJIFILM X-Pro2 features a new front command dial. It is used to set intermediate shutter speeds that are not available on the shutter speed dial when shooting in Manual or Shutter Speed Priority modes. It's also used to shift programmed exposure combinations when shooting in Program mode.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 is the Compact Camera to Beat for 2018

No reviews
Verdict: All these improvements add up to a truly impressive compact camera, but we haven't talked much about the price yet: . That's a little pricey for the average consumer, and points at the X-Pro2's focus on photographers who really know what they're doing.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 review

4.0
Verdict: Fujifilm's X-Pro2 takes the beloved rangefinder-style body that launched the X-mount and makes a raft of significant upgrades. Some may have been gradually deployed on more recent models or with firmware updates, but there's also a lot that's genuinely new here, and it all adds up to a comfortably...
Pros: Superb image quality – best in class for APSC OOC, Innovative hybrid viewfinder, Broad array of embedded PDAF points for good CAF, Weatherproof construction, Dual memory card slots and AF joystick, Built-in Wifi with good smartphone control
Cons: Screen doesn't articulate and isn't touch-sensitive, Basic three frame AE bracketing, No 4k video and limited movie control, No USB charging in-camera, EV dial easily turned when removing from bag

Fujifilm X-Pro2 review: Pro perfection?

4.5
Verdict: When the Fujifilm X-Pro1 burst onto the camera scene its retro digital rangefinder style was like a pleasurable punch to the face; the kind of kipper-slap that left us, and many, a bit tingly around the chops and hungry for more.
Pros: Exceptional image quality at 24MP; impressive autofocus for a compact system camera (including continuous AF); exemplary viewfinder setup unlike any other; quality build with manual control dials, new joystick control, dual SD card slots
Cons: Exposure compensation lacks lock; no tilt/vari-angle or touch-based LCD; limited battery life; slow to kick-in for eye-level activation / from sleep mode; still a fairly small range of XF lenses, front dial not much use, no 4K video

Fujifilm X-Pro2 review

5.0
Verdict: Despite these drawbacks, the X-Pro2's image quality, build quality and control setup impressed me so much that I'd recommend it to anybody seeking a camera for street photography. Pros: Wide range of customisable controls, Brilliant hybrid viewfinder, Excellent image quality, Handsome, pro-quality build
Cons: No 4K video, No in-body stabilisation

Fuji X-Pro2 review

Fujifilm X-Pro 2

5.0
Verdict: In short, the Fujifilm X-T2 just didna€?t sit with me. All of it is of course just personal preference based on how I like my cameras. And the X-T2 is a great camera, truly fantastic. Its just that with expensive gear like this I get very, very picky. On cheaper cameras I would let it all slide.

Fujifilm X-Pro 2

5.0
Verdict: If you will check your own adds, you will see that the fujifilm Xpro2 is only available for pre-order. I do have it on pre- order, but do not have any idea when I might get it. However my experience with fujifilm cameras and lenses has been most positive, I can't wait for the Xpro to be available.

but there was probably a good reason I skipped the whole DSLR peak

5.0
Verdict: My first camera coming from the EOS350D and EOS66 film camera. Having said that, I may not have had other cameras, but there was probably a good reason I skipped the whole DSLR peak. It was probably the size, and costs of that whole ecosystem of cameras.

Rangefinder goodness.

4.0
Verdict: Overall I'm pleased with the body. I love the build and that not only the body but also the dials are metal. Images are what you can expect from this version of the xtrans sensor, and after upgrading the firmware AF is snappy, you also get 4k video but really this is not the body to shoot video...

A Perfect Camera for Me

5.0
Verdict: I just moved over completely to the Fuji system this year. It started innocently enough - I bought the XPro2 with the 23 mm f/2 as my second camera - a walking around camera with a 35mm equivalent lens (I also got the 35mm f/2, so I had my two most used full-frame equivalent prime focal lengths, 35...

Well made classic looking machine ...

4.0
Verdict: This retro designed camera is well made and looks tough. I love the knobs and dials which you can use to manually control exposure and speed. I used for street shooting due to its quietness. I also have the previous version X-Pro1 which has a slower focusing but the X-Pro has improved on this.

Best digital camera I've owned.
