Fuji X-E1
The Fuji X-E1 follows the X-Pro1 with the same 16 MP CMOS sensor that delivers class-leading image quality thanks to its unique X-Trans sensor which does not use an anti-alias filter. The X-E1 is an excellent successor to the X-Pro1.
Pros:
- Class-leading image quality
- Extremely low image noise up to ISO 6400
- Excellent sharpness
- Great color accuracy
- Above average metering system
- Good white-balance
- Superb EVF
- Plenty of direct controls
- Instant video response
- Excellent build quality
Cons:
- Very slow autofocus in low-light
- Sluggish autofocus in good light
- Slow shot-to-shot speed
- Not Exposure-Priority
- Fractional shutter-speeds get reset
- Only one Fn button
- No AE-L in MF mode
- Soft aperture detents
- Short battery-life

For both the beginner or advanced photographer
I was looking for and found a small one-lens (zoom), high quality build, and excellent picture quality, camera that was both fully automatic and with which it was easy to gain full control over any one picture. The menus are easy to navigate.
Pros:
- Easy to use as auto or full control of picture
Cons:
- Right thumb has a small place of rest and can
- without practice
- inadvertently press a button

As an avid traveller and amateur portraitist, I wanted a small camera with an APSC sensor and outstanding image quality. This new Fuji delivers in spades. STRENGTHS : 1) resolution equal to full frame DSLR.

Great good first camera,or a great second camera that's easy to carry out
Love this camera - great quality for the price and a great first camera or perfect for someone who is tired of lugging their DSLR around everywhere.

I have spent countless dollars on cameras and until I found the XE1, I have not been completely happy. It has been a long, long time since I posted any sort of camera equipment review.
Pros:
- X-Trans Sensor
- EVF - You can see exposure
- WB
- & compensation and adjust immediately
- Outstanding kit lens - Might be the best kit lens ever
- High Quality Primes - I prefer primes and Fuji delivered early on available primes
- Like many mirrorless cameras
- adaptable to almost all legacy lenses,
Cons:
- EVF lags and streaks a little in low light
- No focus peaking - Magnification works well
- but would prefer option of magnification + focus peaking
- Fuji and Adobe pointing no working together and as a result
- Adobe didn't have a RAW converter until recent updates to Adobe Camera RAW and Lightroom,

Superb Camera
I use this camera for travel and Street reportage. I was initially attracted to its retro styling and handling, which reminded me of the old SLR Film cameras. I used to find focusing was so much quicker on the SLR's than on modern DSLRs.

- Great Picture Quality
- Lightweight
- Simple Controls

- Price
- Pricey
- Pricey Poor Value

Really great little kit
I love this little camera and zoom lens. Great for street photos as people just seem to ignore it! A reviewer elsewhere says this is better than a Leica but for far less money. Could well be true. I also love my Nikons but this is small enough and light enough to carry everywhere.

Modern sensor meets old world imaging
This camera reminds of me why I got into photography some twenty years ago - the satisfaction of seeing the world through the lens and having it resonate with you emotionally. The build, manual controls, the quality of the optics, reminds you of the craft of "making" photos and not simply shooting...

Great Product
I've been using this camera for few days and till yet I haven't found any issues as such. It's worth buying camera, but of course with high price entangled to it.

Scratch & Dent Fuji XE1
Product came as advertised in original box w/accessories. So far working fine. Good price. Was surprised it had black tape covering up model & name but all was well after removed.
Pros:
- Came as advertised and at a good price
Cons:
- Shipping to a bit longer than expected
- but may be summer
