Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 review

The Instax Mini 9 is one of the most affordable cameras to use Fujifilm's hugely popular Instax Mini film cartridges – these produce small business card size prints which emerge seconds after taking the photo and self-develop before your eyes within a minute.

I've wanted one for years. It's super cute and works great. Taking pictures in the dark obviously doesn't work so well but the flash helps. It's pretty awesome to get instant photos you can give away, hang or put in an album on the spot. Definitely happy with my purchase.

Instant film cameras are fun little toys to have around. They're easy to use and you get a printed photo on the spot with that iconic retro look that we try to recreate in our social apps.

Cost per photo isn't very economical; Pictures lack clarity; Exposure isn't always accurate

Great instant camera and really fun.

Bought this as a family camera mainly so my wife and young son could use it. Really pleased with the camera, if like me you remember the old polaroid instant cameras then you're going to love this.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 9

Instant film is a lot of fun. You can snap a picture, watch it develop before your eyes, and immediately hand it off to a friend (or stranger), stick it on a fridge, or tack it up on a bulletin board.

Fun to use; Powered by AA batteries; Optical viewfinder; Selfie mirror; Includes macro adapter; Color and black-and-white film available; Lots of color options; Inexpensive

Not fully automatic; No tripod socket; Shutter placement makes landscape shooting uncomfortable

Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Camera

I really like this camera! I switched to a Fujifilm from a Polaroid camera I had from 2013; the Polaroid was a digital camera with instant print capabilities, but the printing was slower and the camera was just a bit clunkier.

What a fun camera.

Came the day it was said to come. Fun camera for teens especially. Now she has pictures hanging everywhere in her room. I will be buying another one soon for my 9 year old.

Photo filters are quite the rage these days on social media, and more often than not, we use them to give our photos a retro effect. Riding this wave is Fujifilm with its range of Instax cameras that brings the old-school polaroid cameras into the hands of the millennials.
