Professional!

This camera gives a very very professional feel when I hold it in my hand. It appears like those old cameras, with the conventional looks. But on the inside it is loaded with features. The whole layout of the controls is very very proffesional. The zooming capabilities are just awesome.

Overall the camera takes decent pictures, when it's working. The 35mm equivalent lens is makes it good for taking daily pictures. But it also mean that this is not the lens for taking super wide landscape or indoor architecture photos.

Great everywhere camera

Unlike the bulky DSLR, I can take Fuji X100 with me anywhere I go. The sensor-lens combo produces excellent image quality, better than most DSLR I used. Handling takes time to get used to. Prime lens is wonderful. I don't find myself missing the wide-angle, since there is panorama mode.

Fujifilm X100 Digital Camera Review

The X100 is a truly pioneering camera that has brought retro styling back to market in a big way. Though retro styling aside the real beauty of the X100 is that it offers the market a relatively inexpensive rangefinder camera that delivers incredible image quality from a large APS CMOS sensor.

The Fujifilm X100s is a pleasure to use and really does capture the look and feel of a film-based rangefinder camera. You won't get much closer than this without actually buying a film camera.

Fujifilm FinePix X100

After all I'd heard, I expected to write a short list of complaints about the Fujifilm X100 and move on, but as soon as I started using it, I discovered what the buzz was all about. The Fujifilm X100 is not made for everyone who ever liked the look of an old camera.
Pros:
  • Attractive design
  • Unique Hybrid Viewfinder floats a color LCD image over an optical view
  • Simple analog controls for major exposure options
  • Superb image quality
  • Extremely quiet shutter
  • JPEG engine does a very good job capturing most of the detail offered by the sensor
  • Excellent high ISO
Cons:
  • Slow startup time
  • EV dial is loose
  • easily changes in a camera bag or while suspended from a strap
  • Rear Command Control is difficult to use
  • AF switch is difficult to set
  • Memory card slot and battery cannot be replaced while the camera is mounted on a tripod
  • LCD overlay is sometimes too dim to
