Fuji Finepix HS10
This ultra-zoom digital camera performs well while defining itself by a unique 30X optical zoom that goes from ultra-wide to super-telephoto using a mechanical zoom ring. This lens comes along with a camera body designed for direct access to its manual controls in a comfortable SLR-style body.
Pros:

- Better than most image noise
- Consistent sharpness except near ultra-wide
- Very low optical distortion
- Impervious to chromatic aberrations
- Good color response
- Accurate focus system
- Short shutter-lag
- Generally responsive
- Eye-sensor switching...
Cons:
- Strong edge softness at ultra-wide end of zoom
- Smudging of fine details at all ISO settings
- Poor LCD and EVF accuracy and coverage
- Very prone to flare
- Shutter speed limit drops by 1 stop per ISO
- Useless live-histogram
- Tiny low-resolution EVF
- Sluggish shot-to-shot speed

Fujifilm FinePix HS10
No sooner have Fujifilm wowed us with the EXR sensor, than they launch the HS10; a superzoom camera priced at £375 with 10.3Mp on a BSI-CMOS sensor, a 3in tilting screen, bags of features and a mind boggling 30x optical zoom.
Pros:
- 30x optical zoom
- Backlit sensor increases light sensitivity
- Loads of interesting modes
- Great noise performance at low to medium settings
- Feels good to hold and use with the manual zoom and chunky grip
- Brilliant metering system and dynamic range
Cons:
- Bad chromatic aberration from lens
- Pale colours in natural light
- Soft images
- Bad lens flare
