Poor picture

This is by far the worst camera I ever purchased. I tried to like it as I waited for over a month for it to come in. The picture quality was really bad every time I took a picture.
Pros:
  • Size
Cons:
  • Poor picture quality

Fujifilm Finepix F770EXR review

The F770EXR is an extremely handsome camera. Its matt black rubber-like texture looks and feels luxurious, and with the help of its curved handgrip it sits comfortably in the hand. GPS is built in, as is a 20x zoom lens, 1080p video capture and full manual control, so it isn't lacking in features.

Ok in daylight on wide-angel,

Fujifilm 770EXR looks very promising on paper. It got that enormous 20X zoom, GPS and many other controls. I have mine nearly a month, must say, I have a mixed opinion. If you are looking for a point and shoot camera, and you expect sharp pictures at most shots, than this is NOT your camera.

Fujifilm FinePix F770EXR

Even though the Fujifilm FinePix F770EXR is a more budget travel zoom camera than much of the recent competition it has a load of features on offer. Really decent features too: GPS, raw shooting, EXR modes, and we could go on.
Pros:
  • Offers lots for the money
  • 20x optical zoom
  • brighter lens at telephoto end than similar competitors
  • offers raw shooting
Cons:
  • Lens flare issue is still a problem (as per F660 model)
  • image quality a little soft
  • battery life isn't great
  • sensor-based stabilisation should be lens-based by now
  • overexposure isn't uncommon

Shame about the battery

Good camera let down by poor battery life
Pros:
  • Bulid Quality is good as is image quality
Cons:
  • The battery on my example would only take around thirty shots before it needed to be recharged.

Fuji's FinePix F770 EXR is a compact and incredibly powerful digicam. Its EXR system means that it is incredibly powerful, featuring a backside illuminated 16-Megapixel EXR sensor and new EXR Auto shooting mode that boasts over 100 shooting patterns, along with new motion detection and face tracking...
Pros:
  • EXR is one of the best Auto shooting modes available
  • Dedicated Video Capture Button is always ready to record
  • Great image quality
  • Sensor-shift stabilization works well with the large zoom
  • 20x optical zoom lens provides amazing versatility
  • Nice
  • Bright 3.0-inch LCD
  • Built-in GPS
  • Full of...
Cons:
  • Some creative modes can be hard to use
  • Noise is out of control after ISO 800
  • Weak built-in flash unit
  • Flash does not automatically pop up when needed
  • Continuous shooting was not as promised
  • Priced a bit higher than much of its competition

The camera does have very good resolution and nice features. For travelling if you don't want a gadget bag to hold your lenses & accessories, this is the camera to consider. Your pictures can be as good as a low-end SLR but without some of the refinements.
Pros:
  • 1
  • Price: the price you're paying you have a solid camera with good resolution, 2
  • Lens: average aperture range 3.5 - 5.3 which is sufficient for most situations
  • On SLRs you can buy 2.8 lenses at a premium
  • 20x zoom has a good range
  • Get good enlargements at ISO 800 or less, 3.
Cons:
  • 1
  • On their brochure the newer F800 supposed to offer better low-light capabilities, 2
  • Multiple exposure available on the F800 but not here, 3
  • Shutter speeds down to 8s sufficient but not as refined as some cameras with a B or T option available to increase exposure time as needed, 4.
