Games involving mechs have not had that storied of a history in North America recently. Many people are still waiting for a follow-up in the MechAssault Universe and other games have either not been well received or were never released. One long running Mech-franchise is SquareEnix's Front Mission.

Front Mission Evolved may be one of the most misleadingly named games released in a long time. You'd expect the game to be well, an evolution, of the long-running Front Mission franchise.

i will start by saying this. don't knock it til you try it. i have seen nothing but down talk about this game since its initial upbringing. (its another Armored core, its another Chromehounds) no! its front mission evolved.

In part, the problem's with the title. The Front Mission name has always been synonymous with the Japanese tactical RPG: a futuristic robot version of chess, all giant bipedal tanks blowing the limbs from one another with ponderous missile attacks planned in between sips of tea and head-scratching.
