For all its shortcomings, we still quite like Front Mission Evolved, especially as it manages to imbue a feeling of power in the player with its well made shooting mechanics better than many other shooters.

i will start by saying this. don't knock it til you try it. i have seen nothing but down talk about this game since its initial upbringing. (its another Armored core, its another Chromehounds) no! its front mission evolved.
Letting players get close to the action from their favorite strategy games often seems like an idea with a lot of potential. That poten...
Solid mech gameplay; Good variety of customization options; Fast-paced action
On-foot missions; Lack of multiplayer variety; That this isn't a turn-based strategy game
Games involving mechs have not had that storied of a history in North America recently. Many people are still waiting for a follow-up in the MechAssault Universe and other games have either not been well received or were never released. One long running Mech-franchise is SquareEnix's Front Mission.
Ever since RoboTech I've had a thing for big robots. And apparently I was not alone as they were everywhere. I tried to pilot some by playing MechWarrior, but they were simply not agile enough, big lumbering Mechs do not provide the same adrenaline.
The story (about ten hours in length), though cliched, is truly weakened by how forced it feels, a little more exposition and well-placed dialogue explaining some of the under-lying themes or plot holes would have improved the otherwise average plot I felt like I was watching a new addition to the...
not bad, but not outstanding. average graphics but strangely fun. set it on easy and a fun mindless mech shoot'em up
Good Mech Game, nice character designs (reminds me of Gundam 00), voice acting could have been better. story is fine. just started on multiplayer and that can be frustrating at time but still entertaining. Recommended for the price [...]
Graphics
Singleplayer is good, good story with ok voice actors with a nice challenging end boss. Gameplay is simple and yet complicated, it's basicly throw missiles and try to dodge incoming ones.
well square enix making a westernized game feels like activision making a jrpg. feels like i'm being patronized most of the story through XD, but overall the game is solid for those mech lovers out there.
