who wrote the script

well square enix making a westernized game feels like activision making a jrpg. feels like i'm being patronized most of the story through XD, but overall the game is solid for those mech lovers out there.

Great game!

I've played every front mission available in the US, and this one holds it's own in the series. Overall I loved it.

The graphics are great; the game play is solid and it has great customization of its wanzers

The story is a little thin by comparison to the previous games; I don't consider that an issue however as the game play is the real draw of this title

Need your fix for destruction? Mechwarrior-ish carnage here!

This game is alot of fun. Not sure why they gave bad reviews for repitition. Its a mechwarrior mobile suit style game. Pilot a mecha beast and blow stuff up. Satisfying explosions alot of guns to choose from.

Decent game

The story (about ten hours in length), though cliched, is truly weakened by how forced it feels, a little more exposition and well-placed dialogue explaining some of the under-lying themes or plot holes would have improved the otherwise average plot I felt like I was watching a new addition to the...

It's not the best game in the series by a long shot... but it does give fans of the series something to play on next-gen (current gen) consoles! I'd say it's for fans only.

Front Mission Evolved

It was a brave move to step away from Front Mission's core SRPG audience, and it's difficult to see why that hardcore bunch would purchase this game – from that viewpoint it's disappointing because there's little to join this title up to the long running series.

Plenty of mech customisation; The cutscenes are watchable; The game over situation isn't torture

The combat is much the same over and over; Boss battles are mostly just health based; On foot missions could use more polish

Front Mission Evolved Reviewed

Where the problem lies is that regardless of whether this genre shift alienates existing fans, it won't win favour with any new gamers simply because it isn't a good game. In fact, it's a very mediocre game and instantly forgettable.

"Oh dear a new direction I feel is a step backwards for this game."

My Purchase. The only reasons that I bought this game were 1.I wanted to know if it was any good. 2.It was actually fairly cheap for me to buy. I paid less than £10 for this on the same day one of my friend bought it for £24.99 because he went to a local chain store (ha ha) and I went online.

Good controls; decent gameplay and looks amazing

Takes the game in a new direction compared with previous versions

A generic third person shooter with no depth, not worth the effort.

When it comes to game titles, the word 'evolved' seems entirely misplaced as it suggests this game is an improvement on the previous title. It isn't. There are some good points to this game. The graphics are a lot better and pretty good when compared to other games.

Solidly Average

Overall this game is an average 3rd person shooter with a mech twist. Despite being perched in the cockpit of a building sized walking battle tank, the game plays like any other 3rd person shooter - notably when you leave your mech (sorry... they call them wanzers...
