Forza Horizon 3 review: Bigger, brasher and better-looking than ever

Spin-off franchises - equivalent, say, to the way in which Cheers spawned Frasier - are very rare in the games industry, and for such a franchise to outshine its parent title is all but unprecedented.

Looks fabulous; bigger; more diverse world and more cars; co-operative campaign mode; a few fun new activities; more customisable than ever; over-the-top Showcases

Not radically different from its predecessors; especially if you aren't much of a tinkerer; cheekily tries to get you to subscribe to Groove Music

Forza Horizon 3 review: A visual tour-de-force that pulls out all the stops

Barreling through a lush Australian forest, the sun is beating down through the canopy as light dapples on the bonnet of my Fiat 124 Sport Spider. It's not the fastest car, but its elegant shape and convertible roof are a perfect match for the mood I'm in.

Forza Horizon 3 review

Playground Games' series has never been a more triumphant standard-bearer for racing games as pure, escapist entertainment.

As mentioned before, I didn't think that Microsoft and Playground could better Forza Horizon 2, but they have in every single department. The choice of setting the game in the Australian outback was a stroke of genius and with the ability to play your own music, enjoy the campaign with friends...

Forza Horizon 3 Review – The Australian Dream

On paper it seems like the same old song and dance when it comes to annual franchises, but with the Forza brand, every new year comes with a new surprise. After every other year's fantastic offerings for simulation fans, a new contender enters the ring and that contender is Forza Horizon.

Forza Horizon 3 Review

"You know, it's funny, you live there, but you never really visit any of these great places." That's probably going to be most Aussies' summaries of Forza Horizon 3 -- arguably Game of the Year for 2016 without even really trying, purely because it does such an amazing job of being a Forza Horizon...

Amazing fun.

Just like Horizon 2 before it, this game offers all the fun of the Forza series, in an open world setting, without the seriousness of actual car racing franchises such as it's bigger brother, Forza Motorsport.
