Barreling through a lush Australian forest, the sun is beating down through the canopy as light dapples on the bonnet of my Fiat 124 Sport Spider. It's not the fastest car, but its elegant shape and convertible roof are a perfect match for the mood I'm in.
"You know, it's funny, you live there, but you never really visit any of these great places." That's probably going to be most Aussies' summaries of Forza Horizon 3 -- arguably Game of the Year for 2016 without even really trying, purely because it does such an amazing job of being a Forza Horizon...
In all honesty, PC gamers have really taken the back seat when it comes to racing games. Sure, Project CARS debuted last year, but there has never been "that" racing game, that has managed to stand out of the crowd.
I'm bombing down a jungle dirt road in The Outback chasing a jeep suspended from a helicopter while Cut Copy is blasting from the speakers. My heart is pumping and I couldn't be pressing down harder on the gas if I tried. And that's just in the first 5 minutes.
Giant open-world; Huge car list; Gorgeous visuals; Top-notch soundtrack
High specs needed to reach 60 fps on PC; Too much DLC
From huge, recognisable set-pieces like Apostles Beach to small touches like the red- and yellow-topped bins out the front of stilted houses, Forza Horizon 3 nails its Australian setting.
Xboxs classic racer has returned but this time to Australia. Check out our thoughts and 3 Xbox One Review on Forza Horzion 3 at Kidzworld.
Fun Location; 4K/HDR Support
I'm Not Playing It Right Now
Amazing game, so much detail has gone into it especially the forests! There is so much cars to choose from and all known brands like Holden and Ford etc. The beach look very realistic with some swell.
New cars, new place, more jumps, new cars, new sand buggys, and over 488 roads to drive on wow!!!!!!!! Thank you! Way better than fossa 2.
With the disappointment of Need for Speed, The Crew, Project CARS and for me at least, Forza behind us the Forza Horizon series continues to be my favourite racing series on Xbox.
The graphics, they're eye meltingly beautiful, Top notch controls, Plenty of options for those that like a real challenge, Drone mode; Every open world game needs this now, Loads of event variety, Loads of cars, including some amazing Aussie classics, Plenty of multiplayer potential
The photo mode still needs a Y axis invert option; The drone mode height limit feels limiting; There is some minimal amount of pop-in; Uhh; Playground Games; we call ‘em sheds here guys
