For Honor Review

has some dents in its shiny armor, such as the mediocre campaign, the frugal economy, and the snowballing victories in team modes. But it's hard to be mad too long when I consider that the melee combat system is second to none and a joy to learn, take your licks, and then learn some more.

Episode Four improves on its predecessor in most ways and sets the stage for an explosive finale.

Exploration more engaging; choices bear heavier consequences; music still great

Gameplay improved but still lacking; control still clunky at times; some frivolous interactions

For Honor review – not just a flesh wound

One of the best new fighting games of the last several years, and all the more exciting because of its originality and accessibility.

The combat system is excellent, with plenty of depth and a wide range of highly varied class types; Plenty of multiplayer modes, including an excellent one-on-one mode

The story campaign is predictably bad, leaving nothing of interest in terms of single-player; Larger battles can become too chaotic, and unwinnable without solid teamwork

For Honor Review

It's safe to say that perhaps no one was a harsher critic of For Honor than I leading up to its release. While its peer-to-peer nature ate up the majority of negative press (as it should've), there were laundry list of warning signs that made me question whether or not Ubisoft's new fighter was...

Rewarding difficulty curve; Character varitey; Well balanced; In-depth hero choices; Unique game modes

Subtle peer-to-peer issues; Erratic matchmaking

For Honor PlayStation 4

Overall this is a fun and engaging game to play however; it is important to know that this game is still extremely new and it could change quite a bit in the next few updates. While the game is fun and easy to recommend I also feel it important to state that there are currently a few balancing...

PS4 Review: For Honor

For Honor is a third-person melee title where you can play as either a Viking, Knight or Samurai against other opponents through competitive matches. There's also a single player campaign for each type of warrior, but it feels more like a tutorial to the multiplayer than an actual full-fledged...

Game Review: For Honor

"The Art of Battle" at its basis gives players control. It allows them to block, attack and counter in any one of the three given directions, top, left and right freely. This mixed with different movesets and abilities allows the game to feel both strategic and like a traditional fighting game.

Robust and Strategic Fighting System; Fluid Animations; Interesting Premise; Low Bandwidth and Low Lag Online Play

Microtransactions in a Premium Game; Unmemorable Campaign; Balancing Issues

For Honor Review – Sharpen up Your Blade You're in for a Deep & Satisfying Ride

At around the 5 hour mark something finally clicked and I stopped treating For Honor like a glorified Dynasty Warriors game. Throwing out flurries of heavy attacks and easily telegraphed rolls wasn't working and, until then, I couldn't easily grasp why.

Looks stunning; Offers a wide range of heroes; Deep combat system; Intense PvP combat

Occasional network issues; Story mode is tedious; Steep learning curve
