No longer a Fitbit customer

After 1 year and 8 months, it stopped working. I tried all the recommended troubleshooting fixes to no avail. When I contacted customer support, we repeated all the steps again with the same result - nothing. They determined it was defective and out of warranty and would not fix or replace it.

a good product by Fitbit

good feature and build two minor reason I don't want to give five stars 1- the limitation of selecting on screen work outs are lower 2- the buckle when you close is not propely seated and looks weired other then all perfect! I'm keeping mine :-)

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

Fitbit’s first smartwatch is good, but at this price it's not exactly going to have Apple Watches and high-end Garmins quaking in their running pumps.

Fitbit's app remains excellent; Good wrist cardio tracking; Good battery life for a smartwatch

Lacks smartwatch features; It still feels like a step-counter with knobs on rather than a truly useful running/gym companion; It really is not a sexy thing

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

Fitbit’s fitness smartwatch has gotten better with an infusion of watch faces and apps, but some of its extra-smart features still aren't as polished as the competition.

Fitbit Ionic has a better-than-most-smartwatches four-day battery life, while still having always-on heart rate and a comfy fit; It has features galore: waterproofing, GPS and on-wrist mobile payments, plus new watch faces and a growing app store.

Wrist payments don't work with as many banks as Apple Pay and Android Pay; On-wrist music is hard to set up and use; Software and apps sometimes feel buggy.

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

While some of us have been mounting high tech wearables on our wrist since 2004, others are just discovering them. The Fitbit Ionic brings everything I have wanted in a GPS sports watch with essential smart watch functionality in a sleek, attractive form factor.

Gorgeous high quality design; Bright and clear display; Lightweight and comfortable for 24 hour wear; Long battery life; Detailed sleep and heart rate data; Reasonably priced band options; Music playback; workout coaching; and accurate GPS tracking; Fitbit ecosystem well supported

Limited music services; Can't respond to texts or answer calls

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

Testing the Ionic after the Versa only serves to reveal its shortcomings. It’s not a bad watch, even if my conclusions might indicate that. It’s a regular watch, with pretty good tracking features (with a couple of exceptions), and a hefty price.

The size of the watch is a feature that people will either like or hate; For the most part, the big size of the Ionic gives users a sense of sturdiness, which is a good thing; Also, it’s not a bad looking device, no matter what people are saying.

While I was saying that the increased size does have some advantages, it also means that it’s sometimes cumbersome; For example, wearing it during sleep is a problem; You never quite forget you have it on; A big problem with the Ionic is the synchronization function with the smartphone.

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

While Fitbit's first foray into smartwatches is promising, it has a long way to go to claim the top spot

Great battery life; good display

Limited smart functions; a little harder to use; Limited smart functions; a little harder to use

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

A wonderful wearable for those with an active lifestyle, the Ionic is the most feature-rich product from Fitbit thus far. It's waterproof, features GPS and NFC (mobile payments), and has an incredible software experience. The more you use it, the better it works.

Fitbit Ionic Smart Fitness Watch Blue and Burnt Orange IONIC review

People have been waiting for a while for a device like this from Fitbit. The Fitbit Ionic is most what you could ever want in a fitness watch / smartwatch hybrid…but there are still several bugs to where it’s not quite perfect.

All the activity and sleep tracking features you could ever want; GPS; wrist heart rate monitor; and many other sensors; Supports running; cycling; hiking; cardio; and more; including swimming (water resistant to 50 meters); Smart features; including Fitbit Pay; smartphone notifications; and...

Square design makes it still look like a smartwatch despite the fact that you can customize the watch face, bands, etc; No support for external heart rate monitors, Just average battery life at 4 days on a single charge, Limited support for podcasts, Still many bugs – early users will encounter...
