Love it!

This is my 3rd upgrade in two years. I started with the Flex, then got the Charge, and finally this. This was much sleeker, and imho, more stylish. I liked that you can change the bands as the Charge was a fixed band. I am debating the bracelet band once it comes out.

My new Fitbit Alta

I used my new Alta about 2 1/2 weeks now. I love it, it does everything that I need. I love the design and my purple band, plus the fact that I can change it if I choose to. One of the best features is that it keeps me moving every hour by encouraging me to take 250 steps.

From (former) long-time Apple Watch user

I have had the Apple Watch from the day it was released and updated it with each new release. I've used it mainly for getting call notifications and fitness capabilities. Few months ago I've decided to switch to something less bulky and more importantly, a tracker that can measure you sleep time and...

Informative and Fun

I've had the Fitbit Alta for about a month now. I love it! I love knowing how many steps I've taken and it is always a challenge to be better than the day before. When I was shopping around for a Fitbit, I was debating getting the Alta or the Blaze.

Fitbit's Alta fitness wristband looks to the lower-end of the market, with a sleek and user-friendly device.

Review: Fitbit Alta HR

No one needs an activity tracker. Sure, you feel a whiff of superiority wagging your wrist and boasting about how much ground you've covered today. But let's not pretend that wearing a wrist computer makes you a better person.

Prettier than its predecessors with a litany of interchangeable bands; Automatically recognizes and logs activity when you're walking, running, or biking; Battery lasts a full week between charges

The silent alarm is too timid to reliably wake you up. Sleep insights are a bore. No GPS tracking or waterproofing; runners and swimmers are out of luck

Fitbit Alta Review: A Skinnier Fitness Tracker

Don't expect to earn too many style points with the $130 Fitbit Alta, and you won't be disappointed. The fitness tracker is good as an everyday accessory for those with smaller wrists, and accurately monitors your activity.

Slim design with interchangeable bands; Accurate; automatic sleep tracking; Easy-to-use app

Finicky "touch" screen

Fitbit Alta review: better design, same technology

A Fitbit, for better or worse, looks like a Fitbit. For the past seven years Fitbit's product design has skewed toy-like, friendly, utilitarian. A Fitbit won't be mistaken for jewelry; it's not high-fashion, though it may try ; it's a Fitbit.

More fashionable Fitbit; Auto-tracks exercise and sleep; Week-long battery life

Tap-screen display; No heart-rate sensors; No software leaps since 2015

Fitbit Alta HR Review

A sleek look, heart-rate features, and low price make the Alta HR perfect for casual athletes.

Slim; sleek; and unobtrusive design; Precise heart-rate tracking; Impressive activity recognition; Useful sleep-tracking data

Dim; finicky screen; Not waterproof; No manual fitness profiles or relaxation features

Fitbit Alta HR

The Fitbit Alta is about as chic as fitness trackers come. And the equally chic Alta HR ($149.95) adds continuous heart rate monitoring and better sleep tracking to the mix in order to close the gap between it and Fitbit's more hard-core offerings.

Long battery life; More in-depth sleep tracking and insights over its predecessor; Accurate heart rate and step count readings; Slim and comfortable to wear 24/7 with plenty of band options

Screen is occasionally unresponsive; Buckle feels a bit flimsy; No altimeter; Lacks GPS
