Final Fantasy XV represents a bold change of direction for the iconic, longevous franchise. Booting up Final Fantasy XV, the screen simply reads "a Final Fantasy for Fans and First-Timers".
There's so much to adore about Final Fantasy XV, from the glorious detail to the varied combat, but there are some irritating flaws that trip it up, making it look stupid at the front of the class.
Open world is gorgeous; Combat is natural and varied; Noctis and friend's relationship is great
Camera angles during combat are bad; Later chapters are weak; Some of the story is explained poorly
Final Fantasy XV is a game, first and foremost, about friendship. When we first saw the iconic JRPG's new group of black-clad boyband buddies – all anime hair, baby faces and open jacketed ab-flashing – we'd have never guessed they could be so endearing.
