As expected from the Final Fantasy series. What was already considered good graphics is now looking even clearer (it's a remaster. It has to be). Even the west is acknowledging that this is a good game.

Game Review: Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster [PS4]

One of the finest JRPGs I've played in years was a Final Fantasy remaster; the surprise hit Final Fantasy Type-0 HD . A game I had never played before in any form. It left me wanting to revisit other games in the franchise and luckily along came the Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster on the PlayStation 4.

The best looking version of the game; The best running version of the game; 100+ hours worth of gameplay; Both games offer a nice level of variety; Some great boss battles in both X and X-2

The voice acting in X is still poor; Some of the animations feel a bit jarring; End game of X; The main menus do not look great; Feels a bit dated

It is always hard to review a game that came out ages ago and I found that to be the case with Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. For the die-hard fans of the franchise, this game is a must-have while for others, I fear that it's not for everyone.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster

Quite a few years have passed since I first fired up Final Fantasy X on the PlayStation 2. I was relatively new to the series back then, and had only partially watched a good friend play FFVII on his PSOne.

Last year when I reviewed Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Collection , never did I ever think I'd be back to review the Remastered edition. Mainly because I didn't think the game needed one and I certainly didn't think many things could be improved.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster PS4 Review

Other console/handheld formats: PS3, Vita To some, Final Fantasy X is considered as the last great single player mainline entry in the Final Fantasy series. After this, Final Fantasy XII truly reinvented the series with its MMO style mechanics, which some series fans felt were too far removed from...

"Unfortunately, while the PS4 version contains what is without a doubt the best-looking of both games, there are also some strange technical foibles unique to this version that may hinder the experience." ? 2015 Square Enix. All rights reserved.

These games have never looked better; you can toggle between the original and remastered soundtrack

Weird technical issues with random battles and audio that weren't present in last year's release; Other than that, not much has changed

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster PS4 review – definitive?editions

Whatever you think of the original games this is one of the best HD remakes ever, and a considerable improvement on the already excellent PlayStation 3 and Vita versions.

One of the best battle systems in the whole franchise, married to one of the more engaging storylines and an interesting mix of modern and retro influences; Excellent remastering effort

The script in both games is poor and the voice-acting absolutely atrocious; Irritating mini-games; Final Fantasy X-2 is pure fluff, despite a few interesting ideas

Still a classic

This game was always a classic. I ended up getting this game on ps3 and psVita when it launched on those consoles, but my son took over my ps3 so I decided to get this version. I love the fact I got the game 9 days before the street date. As I write this it still isn't out yet.
