Bad controls. A bit of fun to play about with a friend. Worth a rental, not one to buy.

Fighter Within is the next-gen successor to Fighters Uncaged on the Xbox 360. The game was underwhelming on a critical scale and was labelled to be great in theory, but extremely poor in execution. Fighter Within launched with the Xbox One and was really the only game to rely on the Kinect 2.0.
Fun For A Laugh With Friends; Graphics Are Decent
Controls Don't Work; Story Is Atrocious; Game Not Enjoyable On Your Own
This game is amazing it uses the full potential of the Xbox One Kinnect and it gives you a workout without even knowing your having a workout because your enjoying the game so much.
Don't buy this game. It's cheap for a reason, it's useless. Read the detailed review on Gamespot or ign site. Game play is not good, unresponsive Kinect controls.
- Launch games are supposed to showcase new technology, not expose its shortcomings. By not recognizing its own motion controls, Fighter Within is gesture-based by definition alone.
This is a Kinect-only brawler that offers players a chance to pummel their opponents into submission with their bare hands, in theory at least. The reality, however, is far less appealing than the premise.
Parents need to know that Fighter Within is a fighting game for the Xbox One that translates real-world movements into on-screen punches and kicks. Using the Kinect camera, players move their bodies, and those actions are reflected in their on-screen characters. It can be quite a workout.
We've heard so much about the significantly enhanced Kinect sensor with the Xbox One - what with its improved motion-sensing accuracy and higher-resolution camera - but you wouldn't know that anything had changed based on playing Fighter Within .
- Kinect often fails to recognize more complex maneuvers; - Cinematic-heavy matches are stilted; repetitive; and boring; - Terrible dialogue; story; and characters - everything; really; ?
