great game

Boxing games are rarely story driven which is why I was curious to see how EA Sports handled a plot in their latest Fight Night game titled Fight Night Champion (FNC). To my surprise, it totally rocked my socks off.

fight night champion manages to be very accessible to new players, while still maintaining the usual features of the series. one significant improvement is the use of the face buttons to punch, which i found were much easier to use than the right stick controls.

great graphics; good controls; excellent presentation and an impressive roster

poor career mode; no longevity for casual fans

Fight Night Champion is far from being perfect, but it is fun to patronize a franchise that tries hard to improve and come up with fresh ideas. At least they tried. Before I finish I have to hail the revamped presentation for its darker, more humble tones.

Fight Night Champion is an odd one. In a sport ruled by theatrics and pomp, Champion is surprisingly brutal. That's not saying boxing is Knock-Em Sock-Em Robots played by media-gleaning prissy boys – there are a select few who are prepared to take the smacks to the face for the chance to wear that...

Very good game, EA have upgraded the controller system which anyone who has fight night round 4 would know was poor. this year they have a story mode along with the usual legacy career, with this game EA try to show how dangerous & brutal this sport can be.

Everything is very similar to Fight Night Round 4 apart for the new Champion Mode which is a decent addition. It is VERY short and really easy until you reach Isaac Frost (takes a little more brains to beat him)
