Far Cry 4

Ubisoft has been quite ambitious to release three open world games within days of one another, and so far, we at Action Trip have been fairly pleased with the Assassin's Creed games that the publisher/developer has released.

Beautiful scenery; large open world with seemingly unending side quests; and a fully interactive and immersive environment make Far Cry 4 one of the best shooters of the year

The assumptions required for the story weaken it overall; the co-op occasionally feels to be more of a necessity than an option; and the eagles dropping out of nowhere to smack you around is just cheap (damn those eagles)

Far Cry 4 Review

Far Cry 4 kicks off with a serious bang. The prologue gives you a perfect taste of what you're in store for: gorgeous visuals and textures; a vastly epic landscape; intense action with bullets flying and elephants stampeding; and the wickedly insane tyrant Pagan Min.

Beautifully detailed with a living; breathing world; Stunning graphics – a very cinematic experience; Loads to see; explore; and do across the map

The protagonist is dull – not very relatable or endearing; The story won't get you hooked; but then you won't be playing this for the story; RPG mechanics could do with fleshing out

Far Cry 4 Review

It's hard to believe that the Far Cry series started ten years ago with a tropical island and a story about mutants. As a series, it's travelled a long way since then, from the more serious overto

Fantastic characterisation; Visually incredible; Will make you feel guilty; and thus care; like no other game

Open-world exploration could be more enticing; Missed co-op opportunity; Map revealing towers are getting old now

Far Cry 4 ( PlayStation 4)

The best part of Far Cry 3 was the game's massive tropical setting and the sense of total freedom. The snow-capped mountainous landscape of Kyrat delivers the same thrill, but also layers it on top of a treacherous terrain filled with dizzying cliffs and unpredictable topography.

Far Cry 4 offers an amazing environment to traverse and explore; It features ultra-satisfying first-person-shooter gameplay along with new vehicles and equipment; And yes, you can ride elephants

The main character is underwhelming and it has a nearly identical game structure to Far Cry 3; including cookie-cutter enemy design and archetypes

Far Cry 4

The Far Cry series has a unique pedigree. From the very first title, it became the embodiment of cutting edge graphics and established the standard to which all other titles were compared.

Far Cry 4

Being a stranger in a strange land has always been one of the core conceits of the Far Cry series. As a foreigner in an unfamiliar country, you explore the landscape and learn about its varying cultures just as the protagonist does, helping to ground you in their shoes, the world and its story with...

Far Cry 4

At the start of Far Cry 4 , the despotic yet not wholly despicable Pagan Min invites you to simply sit at his table and eat. You don't have to join the rebellious Golden Path in fighting him for control of your native homeland, as you can indulge in the crab rangoon instead.

Far Cry 4 – Review (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

There's no denying that Far Cry 3 was one of the great games of the last generation of consoles and Ubisoft absolutely nailed the feeling of open world, crazy adventuring, coupled with a strong and well driven narrative. Hell even the psycho was, well, a believable psycho.

Far Cry 4 Review

Far Cry 4 is more of what made Far Cry 3 a great game, and that's OK. So long as Ubisoft doesn't get too comfortable here. The franchise probably needs an engine upgrade for the next iteration as some aspects of the game feel a little antiquated.

Far Cry 4 Review – PlayStation 4

It's the same game you played, but just different enough and executed well enough to seriously recommend getting if you love this genre.
