I really really loved Far Cry 3. The Far Cry series has been very difficult for me to quantify, as the first game is my favorite game of all time, and the second... Well, we don't talk about the second. Far Cry 3 falls in between the two, but it definitely gets closer to the first.

Far Cry 3 builds on its predecessors with a massive, engaging game world and the lure of unpredictability. Jason Brody begins life as a whimpering tourist afraid to fend for his life and develops into the deadly survivor he needs to become.

Look, I know how dangerous the fauna in our particular part of the world can be. I've known the fear of seeing snakes in the wild, I've been chased by cows, I've swum with sharks. I patted a tiger once, but that was at Dreamworld and I'm not sure it counts.

Brutal, dark, well-written, and deeply enjoyable. Far Cry 3 takes a lot of its predecessors ideas and makes them work.

Best sandbox-style FPS at the moment. Huge and beautiful open world to explore (Though it feels repetitive after some time.) A nice selection of weapons, which you can customize with different attachments and color patterns.

Now, Far Cry 3 has arrived with the same stunning graphics as well as with a special story that deals with insanity and how far a regular man, in this case protagonist Jason Brody, will go in order to survive on a pirate-infested tropical island and what he'll do in order to save his friends.

Open world shooters can be an incredibly testing genre to nail for some developers. Far Cry and its follow-up were both admirably crafted examples of what was possible with a little thought and a lot of work: easy on the eye and boasting a nifty game engine and some solid gameplay structure.

The FPS masters return, with a world beating bit of FPS gameplay. Far Cry 3 slipped a little under the radar for many people – nestled at the thick end of the release calendar, and tucked behind the final Assassins Creed episode (itself from Ubisoft too, no less) and the mighty CODBLOPS2, the Crytek...

This is one of the games of 2012 that I like the most. With a high level of Graphics, this game offers a mind blowing gameplay. According to me this game is the best one Ubisoft has ever made.
