Love this game!

Playing on PS4 Pro. OK, Fallout 76 has received it's fair share of negative comments but personally I love it. The lack of NPC's only adds to the sense of loss, I want to know what happened and why things are so bad in this post-apocalyptic world! There are the usual great enemies to keep the combat challenging, I particularly love the Scorched with their limited speech! The game is absolutely beautiful, from the hills and forests to ravaged environments, geothermal areas – they all help with the sense of immersion. I played Fallout 4 several times from the beginning because I really like building settlements but there were a lot of food and ‘water’ items in particular that I never needed, radiation infused Funnel Cake anyone!- I always had a ton of Stimpaks, Radaway etc .. Fallout 76 changes all of that, there is a better sense of survival in this game with food and water of all types, even the gross ones, being much more important and necessary to find or craft. There is one big problem though – our local internet, small town NZ and old phone lines, no fibre option yet. Sometimes we get kicked off the game server but mostly we find it's our internet. When we get an hour or more uninterrupted it's awesome fun!

Heavily improved since release - worth buying for any Fallout fa

Fallout 76 has improved immensely since release. Later this year NPCs are coming which is very exciting. I’ve played 300 hours since the BETA and the game was never as bad as most of the big reviewers made it out to be, but now that a lot of the bugs have been removed, quality of life fixes have been added along with plenty of great new features this game is completely worth the buy to any Fallout fan.

Fallout 76's 2018 fail

I was expecting this followup to Fallout 4 to be really awesome. I pre-ordered. But then started doing a lot of research before its release. The engine is showing its age, the lighting comes out of the ground like “god rays”, the enemy characters almost appear harmless or not a real challenge. Todd Howard joked at E3 that apparently “our games have bugs” as if that was hilarious. He should really have issued an apology and focused on dealing with these in-game issues, there is no actual story, what Fallout is known for the NPCs are replaced by “real players”, whose voices can be heard when your not even playing with them, and tapes/recordings, pointless quest lines… $99, now its on sale at Mightyape for $89… What will be next on Boxing Day Sale- The game is very disappointing. I cancelled my pre-order first to save money and focus on BF5 but then after watching previews, reviews and online game-play of others playing I knew I made the right decision. Even Battlefield 5 has been somewhat of a let down… another story… No disrespect to Mightyape as they provide a wonderful online customer service and it is always a pleasure dealing with them and receiving items from Mightyape. 2018 has proven another disappointing year for AAA games, expensive, unfinished games with content that is “coming soon.” Fallout 76 is taking a bashing in reviews on Youtube, Metacritic, etc. Some players have sunken tons of hours into the game, leveled up as high as they can go, released footage of the bad bugs that should not exist in today's day and age. I have honestly actually enjoyed some of the reviews and online game-play rather than the game itself. I think sadly that it is objectively a bad game. It will take a lot of work to repair this game, that sounds like a lot of big GB updates, unfortunately I will have to pass. Bethesda game studios must learn from this given they have 2 other major games in the works in the next few years.

Smash and Grab

Bathesda have takin the dark path. Basically Fallout 4 with less features, no NPC and online. Bugs found everywhere. Buy after 2–3 years when its fixed and micro-transactions are minimal. Youtube gameplay from a respectable streamer for evidence

Spend more time updating than playing , world not suited to onli

One of my favourite series Fallout has lost it's mojo ,open world with timed quests requires uninterrupted play. The open world explore is made totally frustrating by the inability to pause.

Bought for PS4. Awesome!

Love this game to pieces. So much fun! Yes I’ll admit it probably doesn’t still need a little work but the product thus far is still choice as! I enjoy the crafting aspect. Hunt down some super mutants and scrap their weapons for vital elements to which you can build better badder weapons. Add a silencer to your hunting rifle, upgrade the receiver, craft a scope or longer barrel or better stock… The list goes on! So much to do in such a massive game. Highly recommend!!

Yes it's been bagged, hard, but it's still fallout any loyal fan will enjoy. Still lot's to explore, lots of quests, and real people to meet, if you want too.
