Looking to step up to wide-carriage printing? This $499 model is an economical way to big, excellent-quality output.

Prints up to 13 inches wide; Excellent price; Superb image quality; Compatible with fine-art papers; Prints to roll paper; CDs/DVDs; Wi-Fi support

Costlier ink than competing models; Inks aren't optimized for black-and-white prints or matte photo paper; No LCD

Epson Stylus Photo R2000: A 13" Pigment-Ink Printer

Pigment inks, CD disc printing, and moderate cost have kept me a loyal user of Epson Stylus Photo printers. I attribute this to the different set of ink colors compared to what's found in Epson's professional pigment-ink printers.

Epson R2000 -- Wireless 13x19 Printing

T he one-hour 4x6 jumbo print may be no more than a memory but that doesn't mean the screen has replaced the print. Screens are lovely, but the ones that are handy are too small and the ones that are big enough aren't portable.

Epson Stylus Photo R2000

To be clear, the Epson Stylus Photo R2000 isn't a ground breaking product. It uses the same ink as the R1900 it replaces, but with the AccuPhoto HG technology, print quality is improved with better tonal gradations.

Epson Stylus Photo R2000 photo printer

If Wi-Fi or roll paper printing is an important feature that you could use, the Epson Stylus Photo R2000 comes recommended (with the caveat that you'll have to cut the roll paper yourself). In other aspects it's an easy equal to other high-end photo printers like Canon's best PIXMA Pro models.

Excellent print quality; Up to A3+ sizes and roll paper support

No roll cutter; Inks are expensive (although not for a photo printer

Epson Stylus Photo R2000

Replacing the Stylus Photo R1900 in Epson's enthusiast's printer range, the Stylus Photo R2000 uses the same UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 pigment ink set. However, each ink cartridge contains 17 ml of ink, compared with 11.4ml in the R1900.

Great photo printer

I prefer Epson printers for photos especially and this printer didn't disappoint. I like the wireless feature and it was easy to set up. Price was good, too.

Great home printer

I bought the R2000 last fall and love it. It prints equal to or better than the prints I was sending out to professional labs. The set up was very easy. Inks last a long time and when you do need to change them it's quite simple.
