Review: Epson MegaPlex MG-850HD
So you've got an iPhone, iPad or iPod full of all sorts of multimedia but that little screen doesn't always cut it. Sure you've got options for getting that stuff on to your HDTV, computer, etc. One of the more interesting options I've checked out is Epsons Megaplex MG-850HD Projector.

There's a coffee cup on the remote, an icon unmistakably a cup and saucer. Maybe it's tea. It's the largest button. It's backlit. It might be taunting me.So begins my time with the Epson MegaPlex MG-850HD Projector, a plucky little PJ that makes me question the logic of every flat panel in...

Quick review - Epson MG-850HD projector
Innovation is an ever present facet of the tech scene, but rarely seen on projectors. Epson bucks this trend by releasing the first 3LCD HD-Ready home cinema projector that sports an iPod docking station.- Great sound
- multiplicity of connectivity ports
- above average lumens output
- handy carry handle and remote control
- Expensive for a 720p projector
- and not as stylish as some of its competitors
Fantastic projector
I've lived with this projector now for around 8 months. It's, overall, a fantastic piece of kit; of course it's my first projector so I do not have any basis for comparison. It took me 3 months to finally choose this particular model.
Epson MG-850HD iPod projector
Ladies and gentlemen, today is the day when projectors get fun. Or at least that's what Epson wants us to believe as we take delivery of the brand's MG-850HD. Why is Epson so convinced that the 850HD is perfectly positioned to overturn our previous conception that using a projector is predominantly...- Pictures are bright enough to watch in ambient light
- Docking functionality is well integrated
- Speakers are pretty decent
- Very low contrast
- Lack of resolution very noticeable
- No image shift
