Just say NO!

I was unable to get the game to register on the console. For some reason the xbox is not a good format to play this game. The instructions the vendor finally disclosed required a computer tech to load the game into the gaming console. Life is too short, use a different format.

Hours of gameplay

If you're a fan of dungeons and dragons, medieval game play, or the Elder scrolls franchise, this is the game for you. Be prepared to log lots of hours on this open world game where you grow your character by accomplishing deeds, missions or jobs for the locals. Gameplay is easy to pick up.

Knocked out of the park

Amazing, simply amazing. I have waited for this game since I beat oblivion. Skyrim has a lot to live up to and it delivers in almost every way. A lot of folks are dissapointed at the map system, but I love it.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dragonborn

Even though Skyrim is more than a year old, there's clearly plenty of scope and demand for more of its endearing swords and sorcery. It's not as if the main game was short on content, either - we got to around the 150-hour mark before conceding defeat and moving on to something else - but if you...

Review: Skyrim: the Elder Scrolls V (Xbox 360)

For weeks now I've been told how great Skyrim is going to be. Loads of chatter on the Internet and from games people and of course fans of the series. Having never played an Elder Scrolls game before I had high hopes. Bethesda Studios have delivered in every area except one.

Expansive world to explore; stunning detail & design; engaging storyline; loads to do; hundreds of hours of play

OXCGN's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC Review

Wondering whether or not to buy the new Skyrim DLC or not? Let me be the first to tell you that it was (and is) more than I was hoping for, and is overall one of the best DLCs for any Elder Scrolls game that I've played. And it was worth absolutely every penny.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dawnguard Review

I know what you're thinking. After seven months of playing through The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and knocking out around 300 hours of content you're starting to feel a little gypped. I mean, only 300 hours? What the hell was Bethesda trying to pull anyway?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review

Games like The Elder Scrolls series appeal to me on a level deep in my brain – a place that compels me to take anything that isn't bolted down and stuff it in my pockets.  When The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim hit my doorstep, I knew that I was about to embark on another 100 hours of stealing everything...

17th November 2011 - Ladies and gentlemen, have you ever wanted something more? Something more than your boring 9 to 5 grind? Something more than getting stuck in traffic on the way to work every morning, or having a detailed routine to ensure you wake up at the right time?

Skyrim is completely and utterly addictive in every aspect and quite possibly, I'll say it, the greatest RPG of all time. It affords you the luxury of playing it your way and doesn't try to constrain you. It wants you to get lost in a winter wonderland and believe me, you will.
